Andrea Jonasson, de son vrai nom Andrea Stumpf (née le 29 juin 1942 à Fribourg-en-Brisgau) est une actrice allemande.

Biography

La fille de l'acteur Wolfgang Stumpf et la sœur d'Isabelle Carlson suit les cours de l'Otto-Falckenberg-Schule puis entre comme élève au Deutsches Schauspielhaus. Elle est engagée au théâtre de Heidelberg jusqu'en 1966. Elle fait partie de l'ensemble du Schauspielhaus de Zurich et est invitée au festival de Salzbourg, au Deutsche Schauspielhaus, au Théâtre Thalia de Hambourg, au Piccolo Teatro di Milano et d'autres théâtres en Italie. En 1974, elle intègre l'ensemble du Burgtheater.

En 1973, au festival de Salzbourg, elle fait la connaissance de Giorgio Strehler qui deviendra son mari et son metteur en scène.

Andrea Jonasson joue en même temps pour le cinéma et la télévision, notamment dans des adaptations de pièces.

En 2017, elle reçoit le prix Nestroy de la meilleure actrice pour son interprétation de la baronne Sophie von Essenbeck dans Les Damnés au Theater in der Josefstadt.

The film centers on young right-wing Leutnant (lieutenant) Theodor Lohse (Ulrich Mühe) who suffers personal and national humiliation during the downfall of the German Empire and the subsequent German Revolution of 1918 as the aftermath of World War I, from whence on he pledges revenge on all those he blames for the new times: Democrats, socialists, and Jews. Thus, he becomes increasingly active in the right-wing underground of the early Weimar Republic, joining an organization called "S II" (probably based on real-life Organisation Consul that was responsible for a number of political and anti-Semitic assassinations) where his immediate superior is Baron von Rastchuk (Armin Mueller-Stahl). Baron von Rastchuk brings Lohse in contact with Prince Heinrich in order to get Lohse employed, a favor for which the homosexual Prince demands one-time bodily obligingness from Lohse. In spite of his apparent shock and disgust, Lohse yields to the Prince out of his opportunism and willingness to please his superiors.

Au cours d'une visite à son ami d'enfance, le comte Karnejev, le juge d'instruction cynique Kamyshov rencontre la belle Olenka, une fille du peuple, qui s'occupe des enfants du propriétaire immobilier veuf Urbenin. La fille épouse le vieux Urbenin sans pouvoir l'aimer. Kamyshov, en revanche, désire la beauté et se laisse aller à une histoire d'amour avec elle. Quand il apprend qu'Olenka lui accorde aussi sa faveur au comte, l'homme hautain, qui se soucie si peu de l'honneur des autres, est profondément offensé par sa fierté. Il tue Olenka lors d'une sortie de chasse avec le couteau reçu du comte. Les soupçons pèsent sur le jaloux Urbenin, qui est également arrêté, condamné et emprisonné. Kamyshov, d'autre part, utilise sa liberté pour écrire un roman sur l'histoire de sa vie.
