Antonino Faà di Bruno (December 15, 1910 - May 2, 1981), was an Italian actor and former officer.

Born in London (his father was the italian consul in London), Faà di Bruno became an officer of the grenadiers.

After his retirement in 1964, Faà di Bruno started a career as a character actor, working with Pier Paolo Pasolini (Pigsty), Vittorio De Sica (Lo chiameremo Andrea), Billy Wilder (Avanti!), Federico Fellini (Amarcord), Luciano Salce (Alla mia cara mamma nel giorno del suo compleanno, Il secondo tragico Fantozzi), Mario Monicelli (We Want the Colonels).

Francis and John are two tramps on the outskirts of Rome, forced to rummage through the trash forever in search of food. They meet and make friends and through a misunderstanding are arrested. They are locked up in the security cell of the police station with The Maestro, a poor but well-dressed specialist in running away from the restaurants, taverns and eateries of Rome after having gorged without paying. Upon release, the three come together late in the evening and go to a restaurant where, at the end of a memorable binge (tagliatelle, tripe with tomato sauce, oxtail, asparagus, mozzarella with tomatoes, lamb with potatoes), and concoct a clever ruse to escape and cheat the owner Attilio. In running away, they fall into a cold and smelly mud puddle and take refuge in a cattle car to dry off and warm up. They fall asleep and wake to find themselves in a small town in Tuscany, and then begin to wander in the countryside of Poggibonsi (Siena). They try to scrounge food from the old woman Beatrice, but she does not even know how to feed the seven children living with her, and she is forced to sacrifice his old turtle. By and by they come across a restaurant owned by two hunters, who are in the habit of serving the customers only after enjoying their own comfortable meal and who keep their waiter chained up like a dog. The three friends release the waiter and decide to leave the restaurant without eating, sensing the danger of being caught and shot. After further wanderings, they are nearly lynched by a group of laborers after being caught eating the temporarily unguarded soup at the laborers' table. Left tied up while the mob goes off for a while, they are freed by the waiter who they had recently saved, who joins them. The waiter leads them to an old inn but when they arrive they are dismayed to learn that it has been turned into a funeral home.

The accountant Ugo Fantozzi in this story suffer abuses, deceptions and lies in tragic situations even worse than the first film. Initially he must accompany his Duke Count to a game of chance in Monte Carlo. His boss is very superstitious so that forces Fantozzi to shove his hand under his backside and drink a ton of mineral water so that he can continue to win. Unfortunately for Fantozzi, the Duke Count will lose all his money and blame Fantozzi for the bad luck, forcing him to go back home clinging under the train, as he had no money to pay for the ticket of the compartment. After getting back home, Fantozzi cannot move at all, but is "cured" by Mrs. Pina with scalding-hot cloths on his stomach. In the net episode, Fantozzi goes with fellow accountant Filini for a hunting party. However, the space reserved for hunters is very small and the men, having lost patience and not finding any game, start a real manhunt killing and capturing their peers mistaking them for game and wild animals, quickly escalating to heavy machine guns and tanks. Fantozzi and Filini are not killed but captured by others and exposed.

À Turin, le minable architecte Garrone, mondain et obsédé sexuel, est assassiné à l'aide d'un gros phallus de pierre. Le commissaire Santamaria, originaire de Rome et peu familier avec la capitale du Piémont, est diligenté sur l'affaire. Il soupçonne d'abord Anna Carla Dosio, riche bourgeoise qui s'ennuie auprès de son industriel de mari : deux domestiques qu'elle venait de renvoyer ont en effet livré à la police un brouillon de lettre où elle semblait souhaiter la mort de Garrone. Le destinataire de la lettre, Massimo Campi, issu d'une grande famille, devient dès lors suspect aussi, d'autant qu'il cache avoir passé le soir du crime avec son petit ami, Lello Riviera, jeune fonctionnaire municipal qui décide de mener sa propre enquête pour le sauver. Santamaria, aidé par son collègue De Palma et à l'occasion par une Anna Carla réjouie de cet intermède pimenté, découvre les différents aspects et quartiers de la ville : snobisme et futilité charmante de certains oisifs, vaste trafic de phallus sculptés, somptueuses villas anciennes sur les collines, jardins de l'austère veuve Inès Tabusso — champ de prostitution nocturne qu'elle voudrait bien lotir —, marché aux puces pittoresque du Balôn... où Lello est tué à son tour. Mis sur la piste par la possibilité dans le dialecte turinois d'un jeu de mots entre « poire » et « pierre », et par les complicités de Garrone avec un employé, voyeur comme lui, du service d'urbanisme de la ville, Santamaria finit par démasquer la coupable : Inès Tabusso, que l'architecte faisait chanter en la menaçant de bloquer son projet de lotissement. Le modeste commissaire et la séduisante Anna Carla peuvent désormais céder à leur attirance mutuelle.

The young noble Didino is a big baby and an introvert man who has trouble to socializing because of the possessive mother. He is still treated in thirty years as a kid and does not know what to do to overcome his shyness, because no one of his family listens to him, and his uncle, worsening the situation, believes that he is mentally ill and also homosexual. By mistake the old servant of the family dies in an accident at home, so the mother of Didino calls a new scullery maid: a beautiful girl who falls in love with Didino. He too feels love for her, but does not know how to react because he is afraid that the mother can punish severely him. Initially Didino manages to overcome the fears and also design the flight home with the maid. The mother agrees and one evening in tears, begging her son to grant to him the last bath. This is a pretext of the mother to drown her son, so she can stay with him forever, even after death. While Didino dies drowned the servant under the house waits in tears for his arrival .
