Antwon Tanner (born April 14, 1975) is an American actor. He is best known for his recurring role as Michael on the UPN sitcom Moesha (1996-97), and its spinoff The Parkers (2001) and as Antwon "Skills" Taylor on the drama series, One Tree Hill.

Biography

Tanner is mostly known by his role as Antwon "Skills" Taylor on the CW show One Tree Hill. Tanner had a starring role in the 2005 film Coach Carter, where he starred alongside Samuel L. Jackson and has appeared in TV series such as NYPD Blue, 413 Hope St., Sister, Sister, Moesha, The Parkers, and CSI.

Tanner also had a role in the film The Wood.

Tanner was arrested on April 16, 2009, and was accused by federal authorities of "knowingly and intentionally" transferring Social Security cards "with intent to defraud". On August 20, 2009 he pleaded guilty in federal court in Brooklyn to selling more than a dozen Social Security numbers for $10,000. He was handed a prison sentence of 3 months for the offense and had to report to prison by April 30, 2010.

In 2007, he starred alongside Brian Hooks, Denyce Lawton, and Cherie Johnson in the horror film 7eventy 5ive.

The unexpected death of a quirky and wealthy friend has forced nine former friends to reunite at the funeral of their friend; years after graduating college and going their separate ways. After the funeral they learn from Ms. Stevens (Good) that they are all eligible for a big inheritance if they can just spend five days together at his former estate in which she will oversee. The stipulations of their friend's will is if anyone leaves before the five day period, everyone sacrifices their portion of the estate. What first seems like a lighthearted reunion quickly turns for the worst as old wounds are reopened, and lingering grudges are resurrected. Many of the issues resurrected are created by Ebony's (Gomez-Preston) persistent eavesdropping. The unstable engagement between Lisa (Dash) and Jackson (Owens) is revealed as Jackson and Storm (Keibler) struggle to keep it a secret that they had a sexual relationship a few years ago when Jackson began to date Lisa. Storm didn't know they were in a relationship at the time and it increases the tension. Gary (Weaver) has become a porn director much to the disgust of all the women in the estate and is desperate to escape the porn industry. However, he is reluctant to admit it and when he approaches Trenyce (White) with screenplay for a movie whom is a struggling actress she assumes it's to do pornography which increases the tension in the household even more. An attempt to have a peaceful dinner with everyone fails as tempers flare and dark secrets are revealed creating new wounds between them all. A few of the friends begin feeling trapped in a mansion with people who know their darkest secrets grows increasingly unbearable and forces them to reconcile their ways. Some of which truly finding their way realizing one of their greatest mistakes was abandoning their friends.

On their wedding day, Marcus (Marcus Patrick) and Vivian (Cherie Johnson) are in a car crash, and Vivian is hospitalized in an apparently irreversible coma. Eventually Marcus gives her up for dead, and assuming the hospital had terminated life support, marries a second wife, Jenny (April Scott), who unlike Vivian and Marcus is white. Two years after the accident, when Jenny is in a late stage of pregnancy, the hospital informs him that Vivian has awoken from the coma. Jenny suggests she stay with the couple; Marcus, in love with both women, finds he must choose since they are fighting over him. However, Vivian causes Jenny to eat and drink so much sodium that after giving birth, she is in turn comatose in the hospital. Marcus and Vivian pledge their love to each other over her hospital bed.
