Axelle Carolyn (born 3 April 1979 in Brussels) is a Belgian actress, screenwriter, make-up artist, journalist and author.

Carolyn won her first little role as partygoer in the 2005 Spanish thriller Beneath Still Waters. She played her first bigger role 2008 in her husband Neil Marshall's Doomsday and assisted the designer of the make-up effects. Carolyn earned in the same year a lead role in the Romance-Horror short film I Love You (written and directed by Tristan Versluis), starring Leslie Simpson and portrayed Jennifer in the Horrorshow. In 2009 she won roles of various sizes in A Reckoning, Red Light, Psychosis, Feral, Blood + Roses and had a cameo in a deleted scene in The Descent: Part 2. She had a small role as a Pict in Neil Marshall's Centurion and has a part in the British horror film The 4th Reich.

In February 2010 began to work on her screenwriting career debut the upcoming supernatural thriller film Ghost of Slaughterford.

In 2009 wrote her first novel It Lives Again! Horror Movies in the New Millennium and was financed by Neil Marshall. She won for this work the Silver Award in New York City on the Book of the Year Awards in June 2010.

Two days after the events of the first film, a traumatized and blood-covered Sarah (Shauna Macdonald) escapes the cave with no memory of the events that occurred within it. She is taken to a hospital, where it is revealed some of the blood on her is the same type as Juno Kaplan (Natalie Mendoza). Studying under a disciple of Aleister Crowley, the leader of an upper class group invokes a supernatural force that slowly devours the village of Marienbad and its inhabitants, threatening to spread beyond its geographical limits. Devastated by the loss of her husband from a car accident, Audrey (Anna Walton) tries to commit suicide but is saved from death by her sister Alex (Emma Cleasby). She decides that the best course of action would be to stay in a cottage in the secluded Welsh countryside, where she will try to overcome her loss and her personal feelings of guilt about her husband's death. On her first day there Audrey meets local Theresa (Tanya Myers) and her husband Dr. Zellaby (Nick Brimble), who tell her about the cottage's previous owner, Douglas (Tom Wisdom), that died 30 years prior due to suicide. Soon Audrey begins to hear strange noises and discovers a locked door, which Zellaby states has not been opened since Douglas's death. Eventually the noises become too much for her and Audrey forces the door open to discover that it is full of various items belonging to Douglas, including letters from his fiancee Nell (Rebecca Kiser). At this point Douglas begins to manifest himself within the house, revealing himself to Audrey. The two are able to converse with one another but cannot physically interact and they begin to form an emotional bond. However as time passes the question arises as to whether or not Douglas is truly a kindred spirit or something more sinister.
