Betty Harford (born January 28, 1927), is an American actress, highly active on television.

Her credits include: Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Gunsmoke, Dr. Kildare, The Twilight Zone, The Big Valley and The Paper Chase.

She is possibly best known for her recurring role in the soap opera Dynasty as cook Hilda Gunnerson. Harford appeared in the series throughout its nine-year run from 1981 to 1989, reprising the part for Dynasty: The Reunion in 1991. She also was well known for her performance in the The Paper Chase as Mrs. Nottingham, the ever efficient secretary to Professor Charles Kingsfield. She performed this role during the first season in 1978-1979 and then later reprised it when the show was brought back by Showtime in 1983. In this role, she was to Professor Kingsfield as H.R. Haldeman was to Richard Nixon.

While visiting the (fictional) Ventana nuclear power plant outside Los Angeles, television news reporter Kimberly Wells (Fonda), her cameraman Richard Adams (Douglas) and their soundman Hector Salas witness the plant going through an emergency shutdown (SCRAM). Shift Supervisor Jack Godell (Lemmon) notices an unusual vibration while grabbing his cup of coffee which he had set down. He then finds that a gauge is misreading and that the coolant is dangerously low (he thought it was overflowing). The crew manages to bring the reactor under control and can be seen celebrating and expressing relief.

In the 1st century BC, the Roman Republic has slid into corruption, its menial work done by armies of slaves. One of these, a proud and gifted man named Spartacus, is so uncooperative in his servitude that he is sentenced to fight as a gladiator.
