She made her debut in the Kannada multistarrer Gaalipata (2008) winning critical acclaim for her performance, before playing leading roles in Kola Kolaya Mundhirika and Vinmeengal. She is also an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer and has anchored for various Television programs before becoming a lead film actress

The movie opens with a call for a play titled 'Bahuparak'. The story moves into a scene where the three main characters namely Manas, Mani, and Mauni, all played by Srinagar Kitty are introduced and each one starts narrating their life experiences.

Three childhood friends — Ganesh (Ganesh), an MBA graduate; Diganth (Diganth), a medical student and Kitty (Rajesh Krishnan), an engineer; are caught by cops drunk driving on a night in Bangalore. They use Ganesh's father (Rangayana Raghu), a legislator's influence to get away. The latter visits the next day to enquire and on learning Ganesh's ways, leaves furiously. To cheer up Kitty who went through a breakup with girlfriend and to free themselves, the three arrive at the house of Diganth's grandfather in Mugilpete.
