Bindu Panicker is a Malayalam actress who has more than 140 films to her credit. She has played both comedic and character roles in Malayalam cinema. Her films include Vaatsalyam, Soothradharan, and Joker. She won the fourth Lux-Asianet award for the best supporting actress. She was a member of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists executive committee.

Biography

Bindu Panicker is born as the second child among three children, to a Hindu father Damodhara Panikkar and Christian mother, Neena at Kozhikode, Kerala. Her father was an army officer who worked at Cochin Port Trust after retirement and mother a housewife. She has an elder brother and a younger brother. Since her father worked at Cochin Port Trust their family migrated to Willingdon Island, Kochi. She had her primary education from Briscoe School, Willingdon Island and pre degree from Vidya Nikethan. She has also done a D. Pharma Course. She is trained classical dancer from Kalabhavan.

She was married to Biju V Nair, a Malayalam film director, on 27 October 1997. He died of heart attack in 2003 after 10 years of marriage. The couple has a daughter Kalyani aka Arundathi Panicker. Later she married actor Saikumar in 2009. She currently resides at Kochi with family.
