Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers (born October 1, 1989), known professionally as Brie Larson, is an American actress and singer. She began her career as a child actor, performing in sketches on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. She appeared in supporting roles, mostly notably in Sleepover and 13 Going on 30, both in 2004. In 2010, Larson was featured in Greenberg and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. She continued her supporting work in a wide range of films including Rampart (2011), 21 Jump Street (2012), Don Jon (2013) and The Spectacular Now (2013) before landing her breakthrough leading role in Short Term 12. In 2015, she co-starred in the comedy Trainwreck and in the drama Room.
On television, Larson co-starred as Kate Gregson in Diablo Cody's comedy series, United States of Tara from 2009 to 2011.
