On the way back home, Ryota and his sister Aya met an abandoned Shiba Inu. At first reluctant to adopt it because their father hates dogs, they eventually brought it home secretly because the dog kept on following them home. In order to officially keep the dog at home, Aya told her grandfather that she wanted that dog for her birthday present. Since he promised to give her anything she wants for her birthday, he reluctantly agreed. This initially led to a quarrel between him and his son. Meanwhile, his son, is considering moving to Nagaoka city from Yamakoshi, their village, reduce the time needed for his father to reach the hospital and for the children to live near their school, despite opposition from his father. Aya subsequently names the dog Mari, and it becomes a part of the family.

The Dekarangers encounter the Algolian Gas Drinkers following a high-speed pursuit, and while the Alienizer gang manages to retreat, Deka Break recovers a briefcase that they were carrying. Inside the briefcase is a top-secret virus called "Golden Snow", which was being experimented on the planet Leslie. As communications to Leslie have failed, Tetsu is assigned to travel to the planet to investigate while the other Dekarangers scout around for leads on the Gas Drinkers' whereabouts. Ban and Jasmine enter a nightclub, where Ban meets Marie Gold, a beautiful singer with the ability to temporarily stop time. She also reveals herself as an undercover SPD officer from Leslie. It is revealed that the Gas Drinkers released the Golden Snow virus on Leslie, turning the planet's population into machine slaves. Marie is the only survivor, as she was on patrol duty outside the planet. The gang's intention was to infect planets with the virus before selling the vaccine to them for a high price with the help of Agent Abrella; however, their plans were complicated by the Dekarangers' intervention upon their arrival on Earth.

Like the rest of the Ju-on series, the film takes place over a period of time, and is told in a non-linear order as six overlapping vignettes. The overarching plot involves the haunted house of the deceased Saeki family, whose brutal murders caused by Kayako Saeki’s crush on another man led to the creation of a curse. Anyone who enters the house will be cursed and eventually consumed by the ghosts of the Saekis. The vignettes are presented in the following order: Kyoko (京子), Tomoka (朋香), Megumi (恵), Keisuke (圭介), Chiharu (千春), and Kayako (伽椰子).
