Christopher Atkins (born Christopher Atkins Bomann; February 21, 1961) is an American actor, who became famous in his debut role with co-star Brooke Shields in the 1980 film The Blue Lagoon.


He married Lynne Barron, from Sydney, Australia, on 25 May 1985; the couple had two children, a son, Grant Atkins (born 10 December 1985) and a daughter, Brittney Atkins (born 1 May 1987).

He owns an outdoor sports company and has patented a fishing lure. In July 2015, Swedish media reported that Atkins has been in a long-distance relationship with Sandra Ankarbjörk for nearly two years. They met after Ankarbjörk had contacted Atkins on Facebook. It was reported that Atkins spends some portions of the year in the Swedish town of Skövde as a result of this relationship.

Emma and Dean are two high school students on a class trip to Trinidad to build a school for children and explore the island. The two have little in common. The film contains two stories that take place in Sedona, Arizona. Eddie brought the workaholic Scott to Sedona for some rest and relaxation, but wind up in an unexpected adventure when 7-year-old Denny (Trevor Sterling Stovall) gets lost. The ensuing frantic search for Denny sends Scott into a profound life-changing journey that forces him to examine his own priorities and determine what's truly important in his life. Meanwhile, Tammy unwittingly begins a spiritual transformation of her own as she encounters an array of the townspeople, each of them touching her in different meaningful ways. A chain of coincidences spirals her out of control, leaving her haunted by her past and forcing her to face her demons head on.
