Christopher Wingfield Morrison (nicknamed mink) is a British American film director and graphic novel writer.

Biography

Christopher was born in London, England and relocated with his parents to Los Angeles in the United States at the age of eight. Christopher attended photography college in Santa Barbara, after which he returned to Los Angeles and was given the job as a runner at Walt Disney Studios. According to IMDb, he took the name "mink" because it is a nickname that his mother gave him. He is one of the few directors who openly talks to his fans on the Internet and can be found on IMDb talking to other users on the message boards.

He has spent years directing music videos for such rap and hip-hop artists as Snoop Dogg, Master P and Slum Village, along with alternative groups such as Veruca Salt, Face to Face, Dead Poetic and Sheryl Crow. In 2002, he was given a place as a director at Lawrence Bender's and Quentin Tarantino's A Band Apart films.

Wingfield directed the action comedy Full Clip in 2004 and the adventure thriller Into the Sun in Tokyo, Japan in 2006. He is currently in development of Mortal Kombat: Devastation, scheduled for a release in the future.

He has written a number of creator-owned graphic novels for Image Comics and Dark Horse Comics, including Dust and 13 Chambers.

He was also long-rumored to be developing the third film in the Mortal Kombat film series (Mortal Kombat: Devastation) but that project has since been scrapped in favor of a complete reboot of the franchise, and Morrison replaced by director Kevin Tancharoen (Fame, Mortal Kombat: Rebirth, and Mortal Kombat: Legacy).

Wingfield has also written and is developing a big screen version of Ninja Gaiden with a prominent US & Japanese film company. In 2008 he founded TWISTORY a company based on his mantra on THE ART & SCIENCE OF STORYTELLING.

The assassination of Tokyo governor Takayama (Mac Yasuda) causes a stir of public outrage in Tokyo, Japan. Upon hearing the news of the incident, the FBI asks the CIA's Tokyo office to investigate the killing, believing it to be linked to the Yakuza, a dangerous Japanese mafia. Retired CIA agent Travis Hunter (Steven Seagal) and rookie FBI agent Sean Mac (Matthew Davis) are assigned to work on the case and to track down the perpetrators. The Japanese branch of the CIA starts sniffing around under the auspices of Homeland Security. During work, Mac proves to be more of a distraction, not really knowledgeable about procedures or Japanese customs. Hunter was raised in Japan, and has a strong understanding of the Yakuza and their mysterious, eccentric, and sinister ways.
