Christopher Norris (born October 7, 1955) is an American movie and television actress. She is probably best known for her portrayal of nurse Gloria "Ripples" Brancusi in the CBS television series Trapper John, M.D.. She attended Los Angeles Valley College.
Early notable roles include the wild girl, Miriam, in Summer of '42 (1971); a heroic young flight attendant in the disaster film Airport 1975 (1975), and as a hot girl alongside Ron Howard in Roger Corman's Eat My Dust (1976). Early in her career Norris typically played wholesome, "girl next door" types, and, later in her career, she got more "vixen" type roles, including the role of loony Laura Simmons Asher on the daytime soap Santa Barbara. Her other daytime credits include Another World and Guiding Light.
The blonde Norris was often mistaken for Melanie Griffith, due to their physical resemblance. Because of this, Griffith was mistakenly interviewed in the 1990s by the British media about acting in Airport 1975.
In the 1990s, Norris took a break from acting and got a degree in psychology from Antioch University.
She is also an antique collector.

During a major snow storm, Transcon Airways Flight 602, Boeing 727 airliner piloted by Captain Pete Douglas (David Janssen), First Officer Stan Burkhart (Christopher George) and Second Officer Mike Fuller (Don Meredith) on a flight from Los Angeles to New York, makes a scheduled stop in Salt Lake City. Greco (Marjoe Gortner), a two-time killer in the custody of Sam Riese, a Federal Marshal (Broderick Crawford) comes aboard. Among the passengers are Burkhart's girlfriend, nurse Susan McKenzie (Margaret Blye) and Joseph Mannheim (Ray Milland) a disillusioned and possibly disgraced medical doctor drowning his problems with scotch. Captain Douglas has a family emergency that is making him anxious to return home as soon as possible.

The film opens with a series of still photographs appearing over melancholic music, representing the abstract memories of the unseen Herman Raucher, now a middle-aged man. We then hear Raucher recalling the summer he spent on the island in 1942. The film flashes back to a day that then 15-year-old "Hermie" and his friends – jock Oscy and introverted nerd Benjie – spent playing on the beach. They spot a young soldier carrying his new bride into a house on the beach and are struck by her beauty, especially Hermie, who is unable to get her out of his mind.

Maddalena Ciarrapico arrives in New York City from Italy to get married and bringing with her a gift of mortadella (large Italian pork sausage) from her co-workers from the sausage factory where she used to work, for her fiancé. But she is refused permission to bring the mortadella into the country because of the ban on meat that may contain food-borne diseases. An indignant Maddalena refuses to hand the sausage over, staying in the customs office at the airport, sparking a diplomatic incident in which she attracts widespread sympathy and support.
