Clark Brandon (born December 13, 1958) is an American actor. His most notable roles were as Max Merlin's apprentice Zachary Rogers in the CBS series Mr. Merlin and as Sean Fitzpatrick, the older brother, in the CBS series The Fitzpatricks. He also starred with Jim Varney in the 1989 comedy film, Fast Food.


Brandon also directed three films, 1992's Dark Secrets, 1993's Skeeter and 1997's The Last Road. As of 2014, he was Dean of Students at Areté Preparatory Academy in southern California.

William Clark Brandon est né le 13 décembre 1958 à New York, de son père Peter Brandon, un acteur de Broadway et de télévision, et de sa mère Jane Clark Brandon. Il a une sœur Mary Hopkins.


Carrière
En 1977, Clark Brandon débute sa carrière d’acteur dans le film The Chicken Chronicles de Frank Simon. Dans la même année, il devient Sean Fitzpatrick dans les treize épisodes de The Fitzpatricks, série populaire aux États-Unis. En 1978, il apparaît dans un épisode de différentes séries telles que Family, L'Île fantastique (Fantasy Island), ABC Afterschool Specials, Insight et Wonder Woman, en passant le téléfilm Like Mom, Like Me de Michael Pressman. En 1979, il tient son premier rôle principal de Chris Richards dans les douze épisodes de Out of the Blue.

Entre 1981 et 1984, il interprète Eddie Brennan dans quatre épisodes de Drôle de vie (The Facts of Life) et, en même temps, le rôle principal lui est attribué dans Monsieur Merlin (M. Merlin) jusqu’en 1982 — elle est diffusée dans Récré A2 sur Antenne 2, en 1983. En 1983, il apparaît dans un épisode de La croisière s'amuse (The Love Boat).

Funland is a family-oriented amusement park owned by the eccentric Angus Perry. Niel Stickney, the clown mascot and one of the founders of the park and its former accountant, suffered a nervous breakdown and his grip on reality is slowly deteriorating. After the mob kills Angus and takes over the park, Stickney begins to have increasingly bizarre hallucinations, including envisioning the patrons of the park cafeteria spontaneously breaking into song and dance and seeing visions of the dead Angus. He then begins to believe himself to be his clown persona, Bruce Burger. After the new mafia management fires him, he finally snaps. He buys a rifle, intending to kill his replacement and reclaim the theme park.
