Cynthia Dale (born 11 August 1960) is a Canadian television actress and stage performer. She is best known for her role as lawyer Olivia Novak in the 1987–94 television drama Street Legal.
She first entered the acting world in 1965, when she went alongside her sister to an audition. In the 1970s and 1980s, she appeared in a number of movies and stage productions. She appeared as Patty in the 1981 Canadian slasher film, My Bloody Valentine. She appeared in New York in an off-Broadway play in 1987, and in 1983 first appeared at the Stratford Festival, where she has headlined several shows (mostly musicals) in the 2000s. Cynthia and Jennifer Dale once appeared together in a CBC variety special. She starred in the 1985 movie Heavenly Bodies, where she plays the owner of an aerobics dance studio.
She was a member of the judging panel of the Canadian TV show Triple Sensation in 2007.

Dale was born Cynthia Ciurluini in Canada. She attended Michael Power/St. Joseph High School. She is the sister of Canadian actress Jennifer Dale. Since 1998 she has been married to CBC News anchor Peter Mansbridge. They have one child, Will.She first entered the acting world in 1965, when she went alongside her sister to an audition. Thirty-seven-year-old Loretta Castorini (Cher), a Sicilian-American widow, is an accountant in Brooklyn Heights, New York, where she lives with her family: her father Cosmo (Vincent Gardenia) who is a successful plumber, her mother Rose (Olympia Dukakis), and her paternal grandfather (Feodor Chaliapin, Jr). Her boyfriend, Johnny Cammareri (Danny Aiello) proposes to her before leaving for Sicily to attend to his dying mother; she accepts, but is insistent that they carefully follow tradition as she believes her first marriage was cursed by her failure to do so, resulting in her husband's death when he was hit by a bus. They plan to marry one month later, and Johnny asks Loretta to invite his estranged younger brother Ronny (Nicolas Cage) to the wedding. Loretta returns home and informs her parents of the engagement. Cosmo dislikes Johnny and is reluctant to commit to paying for the "real" wedding Loretta insists on, while Rose is pleased that Loretta likes Johnny but does not love him; she believes that one can easily be driven crazy by a partner whom one loves.

Two miners in full gear, including face masks, are seen going down into a deep mine shaft. They reach an alcove and one of the figures takes off half of their gear, and is revealed to be a woman. As the other miner refuses to remove his gear, he sticks his mining pick in a wall, and she does a strip tease, fondling the man's mask and breathing tubes in a sexual manner, resulting the miner killing her by impaling her chest with the pick's blade.
