Dalila Di Lazzaro (Udine, 29 janvier 1953) est une actrice, mannequin et écrivain italienne.

Biography

Dalila Di Lazzaro aborde le monde du spectacle comme mannequin des maisons de mode les plus célèbres avant de faire ses débuts au cinéma en 1972, choisie par les producteurs Andy Warhol et Carlo Ponti.

Elle a tourné dans plus de trente films. Elle a fait ses débuts comme actrice dans une réalisation d'Alberto Lattuada titrée Oh, Serafina !. Son physique agréable et sa personnalité la conduisent à interpréter des rôles de femme fatale. Elle devient une habituée de la scène du cinéma italien de la période allant des années 1970 jusqu'à 1991. Dalila a travaillé sur des films réalisés par les meilleurs réalisateurs italiens comme Steno, Alberto Lattuada, Luigi Comencini, Enrico Maria Salerno et Dario Argento, et internationaux comme Andy Warhol ou Klaus Kinski. En France, elle est connue pour ses rôles dans les films Eugenio, Phenomena, Trois hommes à abattre avec Alain Delon, réalisé en 1980 par Jacques Deray, ainsi que pour Chair pour Frankenstein.

En 1991, après avoir perdu son fils unique, Christian, âgé de 22 ans, dans un accident de la route, elle décide de se retirer de la scène. Elle-même aura par la suite un accident qui l'obligera à rester alitée plusieurs années.

Ayant entamé une carrière de romancière, elle est à nouveau présente à la télévision italienne depuis quelques années, avant de revenir comme actrice en 2013 dans le film L'ultima ruota del carro de Giovanni Veronesi.


Engagements
Dalila Di Lazzaro a été active dans le domaine social afin d'obtenir le changement de la loi sur les adoptions : en effet, en Italie, l'adoption par des femmes qui ne sont pas mariées est encore interdite.

En collaboration avec la Chambre nationale de la mode italienne, pendant les semaines des défilés à Milan où elle vit, l'actrice a également été chargée de vérifier l'état de santé des mannequins, afin de combattre le problème de l'anorexie.

After missing the bus in the Swiss countryside, a tourist, Vera Brandt (Fiore Argento), tries looking for help. She comes across a home, and upon entering, she is attacked by an unknown stranger, who then proceeds to chase and behead her. Eight months later, Jennifer Corvino (Jennifer Connelly), arrives at the Swiss Richard Wagner Academy for Girls, chaperoned by Frau Brückner (Daria Nicolodi), who places her with roommate Sophie (Federica Mastroianni). While sleepwalking through the academy and out onto the roof, Jennifer witnesses a student being murdered. She awakens and falls, fleeing and eventually becoming lost in the woods. Forensic entomologist John McGregor (Donald Pleasence)'s chimpanzee attendant Inga (Tanga) finds her and leads her to him. Witnessing her apparent interaction with his insects, McGregor comes to believe she has a special gift for telepathy with them. Inspector Rudolf Geiger (Patrick Bauchau) is also in the case alongside McGregor. Back at the academy, the headmistress has Jennifer medically tested via EEG for her sleepwalking. The procedure makes Jennifer uneasy when she gets brief visions of the previous night's events. The headmistress then has Sophie look after Jennifer in case she sleepwalks again.
