Dana Vernon Ashbrook (born May 24, 1967) is an American actor, perhaps best known for playing Bobby Briggs on the cult TV series Twin Peaks (1990–1991) and its 1992 prequel film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me.

Biography

Personal life
Ashbrook was born in San Diego, California; his mother, D'Ann (née Paton) is a teacher and his father, Vernon L. ('Buddy') Ashbrook, a director of the Palomar College drama department. He is the brother of writer Taylor Ashbrook and actress Daphne Ashbrook.


Career
After Twin Peaks went off the air, Ashbrook portrayed Clyde Barrow in the 1992 TV film, Bonnie & Clyde: The True Story alongside Tracey Needham. He starred in the 1995 science fiction TV pilot W.E.I.R.D. World, written and produced by the makers of the Tales from the Crypt TV show. In 1997, he won the starring role of Gary McDermott on the short-lived TV series Crisis Center.

He also starred in the films She's Out of Control (1989), Comfortably Numb (1995), The Last Place On Earth (2002) and Python II (2002). He played the recurring role of Rich Rinaldi on the TV series Dawson's Creek (2002–2003).

Ashbrook has appeared on The WB's Charmed in the 2001 episode "Just Harried", on NBC's The Pretender in the 2000 episode "Rules of Engagement", on The Outer Limits in the 1996 episode "Resurrection", and on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the 2007 episode "Haystack".

In 2009, Ashbrook joined the cast of the series Crash for the regular part of Jimmy.

In 2010, he reunited with some of the cast of Twin Peaks on the show Psych. He starred in 2012 with Ray Wise and Derek Mears in the Steven C. Miller psycho-thriller The Aggression Scale. Ashbrook will return to his role as Bobby Briggs in the 2017 reboot of Twin Peaks.

Ambrose McKinley; a fiercely independent, yet blind Vietnam War veteran and his seeing eye dog German Shepherd are moved into a retirement community at the edge of a forest. Willful and adamant that he can live on his own, he and his son Will are clearly not on the best of terms. He meets three neighbor women; Gloria, Anna and Victoria, who; while at first admiring Ambrose, are quickly put off by his attitude toward them. He meets his neighbor Delores, who shares the duplex with him. That night, during a full moon, something breaks into Delores' kitchen and brutally slashes her to death. Ambrose hears the commotion and is also attacked by a massive werewolf. His dog comes to his defense as Ambrose struggles to find his gun, he manages to deter the creature, but his dog is mortally wounded. The next day, the police find him cradling his dog, and despite the destruction and his claims of the attack, it is shrugged off as a home invasion.

Paleontologist Robert Trenton (Dean Cain) is called to Northeastern Antarctica near the Indian Ocean to help the FBI build an underground maximum-security military base and prison for the world's most dangerous criminals and terrorists. The prison is dubbed "New Alcatraz" by the staff. While building the prison, the staff accidentally awaken and unleash a prehistoric Boa Constrictor from its 200 million year hibernation. The snake escapes unnoticed until the staff notice a massive hole chewed in the five-foot thick concrete walls. Soon, the staff, and prisoners begin disappearing as they are brutally hunted and eaten by the snake. The FBI agents, Trenton and the rest of the prisoners try to escape, but are hampered as they don't have many weapons. They begin to give up hope as most of the survivors die. However, Trenton manages to kill the snake by kicking it off the helicopter, which it had bitten into, and it is assumed the fall kills the snake.

They receive mysterious clues from Lil the dancer, most of which Desmond later explain to Sam. However he declines to explain the blue rose pinned to Lil's red dress. After difficulty with the local sheriff's department, Desmond and Stanley view Teresa's body at the morgue. They realize that her ring is missing and the letter "T" has been placed under her fingernail. The Agents question the town residents about Teresa, but come up with few clues. Stanley leaves Deer Meadow, while Desmond remains behind. Desmond discovers Teresa's missing ring under a trailer. As he reaches out to it, the screen fades to black.
