Daniel Steiner (born 1973) is an Austrian actor and film director.

Biography

In the 90s Daniel Steiner visited the University of Leeds, where he finished his Broadcasting study with a Bachelor's degree. After he worked a few times as production assistant and made some Film & TV- internships in England, Daniel Steiner began to study Commercial direction at the Film Academy Baden-Wuerttemberg in 1997. In 2003 Daniel Steiner finished his study with diploma.

Since 2002 Daniel Steiner works as independent director, writer and actor. He produced several web series and commercials for known products like Pringles or Kinder Chocolate. In addition he shot, for example, music videos for the German hip hop group Puppetmastaz or the German singer and musician Namosh (together with the German actor Nic Romm).

As actor Daniel Steiner participated in a few German blockbusters like Where Is Fred!? or Krabat.

He lives in Berlin.

Fred plans to marry his girlfriend Mara, and he proposes her at the sold–out basketball match. Instead of accepting, Mara puts that decision on her spoiled son, Linus. In order to get Linus to like him, Fred decides to give him a basketball from the Linus' favourite team. He poses as a wheelchair–bound fan so that he could get it. But when he catches the ball, he also catches the attention of young, attractive filmmaker Denise, who wants to feature an invalid fan in an image film for the team. Fred has to keep playing his role, while real invalid and really furious fan Ronny might call his bluff at any moment.

The film begins at BlackWhite castle, one of the last castles in black & white located in the United Kingdom. Residing there is the Earl of Cockwood (Thomas Fritsch), a notorious gangster.
