Danna Paola Rivera Munguía (born 23 June 1995 in Mexico City), better known as Danna Paola, is a Mexican singer, actress, model, fashion designer and recording artist. Danna gained popularity in her native Mexico as a child actress and singer, starring in dozens of television projects throughout her early childhood and adolescence, but also for her Elphaba role at the Wicked México Production. She received her first leading role in the telenovela, María Belén, and released her first album, Mi Globo Azul, at age 6.

Long ago, a drop of sunlight became a golden flower capable of healing illness, decay and injury. For hundreds of years the flower is used by Mother Gothel to retain her youth until it is discovered by soldiers of a nearby kingdom. They use the flower to heal their ailing queen, who soon after gives birth to Princess Rapunzel. Gothel discovers that Rapunzel's hair has the flower's healing properties but that attempting to take just the hair by cutting it destroys its power, so she kidnaps Rapunzel and raises her as her own daughter in an isolated tower. The film takes place over the span of several years within the 1930s in Mexico, focusing on the life of Catalina "Catín" Guzmán (Ana Claudia Talancón), a young girl born to a middle-class family in Puebla. She meets the cunning General Andrés Ascencio (Daniel Giménez Cacho) while on an outing with her family and he becomes interested in her, paying her regular visits and lavishing her with gifts and praise. Smitten, she agrees to accompany him to Tecolutla and loses her virginity to him. At that point she becomes curious about sexual activity, including masturbation. Despite Andrés's light misogyny and casual derisions of her age and intelligence whenever offering her opinions on politics and other issues they discuss, she cares for him.
