Dean DeBlois (born June 7, 1970) is a Canadian film director, film producer, screenwriter, animator and editor. He co-wrote and co-directed the Oscar-nominated animated films Lilo & Stitch for Walt Disney Feature Animation and How to Train Your Dragon for DreamWorks Animation, and directed the Sigur Rós documentary/music film Heima.

Biography
DeBlois a commencé sa carrière à Hinton Animation Studios et a travaillé comme animateur sur The Raccoons et The Teddy Bear's Picnic. Il a ensuite rejoint Don Bluth de Sullivan Bluth Studios en Irlande et a travaillé sur Poucelina et Le Lutin magique. Il a également coécrit le film Mulan pour les Studios Disney. En 2003 il a dirigé Lilo et Stitch avec Chris Sanders. Il a également réalisé un documentaire du groupe Sigur Rós avec le film Heima. Un an après la mort de Stoïck la Brute et la défaite de Drago. Harold Horrib'Haddock III est devenu chef de Beurk, conseillé par sa mère et ses amis avec qui il lance des raids pour libérer les dragons des chasseurs et les mener à son village où ils vivent libres. Mais alors que la petite île devient surpeuplée, Harold pense à quitter le village pour le Monde caché, une terre légendaire d'où viennent les dragons et que Stoïck a recherchée, pour pouvoir mieux les protéger des multiples attaques de chasseurs. Au même moment, les seigneurs de guerre, qui étaient les généraux de Drago, engagent Grimmel le Grave, un tueur de dragons connu pour haïr les Furies nocturnes et pour les avoir éradiqués depuis son enfance, afin de capturer Krokmou, considéré comme l'Alpha, le roi parmi les dragons, et lui laissent une Furie Éclair femelle pour l'appâter, les Furie étant monogames.

The island of Berk is a remote Viking village, from which dragons periodically steal livestock. Hiccup, the awkward son of the village chieftain, Stoick the Vast, is too small to fight the dragons and instead fashions mechanical devices under his apprenticeship with Gobber the blacksmith, though his inventions often backfire. During one attack, Hiccup believes he has shot down a Night Fury, an extremely rare and dangerous dragon. Hiccup later finds it in the forest trapped in his bolas, but finds that he can't bring himself to kill the dragon and instead sets it free. Stoick assembles a fleet to find the dragons' nest, leaving Hiccup in a dragon-fighting class taught by Gobber. Hiccup returns to the forest to find the Night Fury still there, and realizes it is unable to fly properly because of its crippled caudal fin. Hiccup gradually tames the dragon and gives it the name "Toothless", for its retractable teeth. Hiccup makes a harness and prosthetic fin that allows him to guide the dragon in free flight. By studying Toothless' behavior, Hiccup becomes proficient in subduing the captive dragons during training. Stoick's fleet arrives home unsuccessful, but he is cheered by Hiccup's unexpected success.

Dr. Jumba Jookiba is arrested and put on trial by the Galactic Federation for "illegal genetic experimentation", as evidenced by his Experiment 626, a living creature which is capable of creating untold chaos. Jumba is imprisoned while Experiment 626 is supposed to be exiled on a desert asteroid. 626 manages to escape in a spaceship and activates the hyperdrive, causing its guidance systems to malfunction and randomly set a course for Earth. The Grand Councilwoman dispatches Jumba and Agent Pleakley, the Council's Earth expert, to the planet to have 626 captured discreetly. 626 lands on the Hawaiian island of Kauaʻi, but is knocked unconscious by a passing truck and taken to an animal shelter.

With their mission to capture all 623 experiments and repurpose them on Earth completed, Lilo, Stitch, Jumba and Pleakley are honored as heroes by the Galactic Alliance. Jumba is given the confiscated key to his laboratory again, Pleakley is offered a post as chairman of Earth Studies at G.A.C.C. (Galactic Alliance Community College) and Stitch is made the Captain of the Galactic Armada and commander of his newly commissioned ship BRB-9000 (Big Red Battleship 9000). Lilo is made Galactic Federation Ambassador to Earth and sole guardian of Stitch's "cousins". Before they leave, Lilo gives Jumba her favorite Elvis record, Pleakley a paperweight (which is actually an Earth rock) and Stitch a necklace with a Ku Tiki (the Hawaiian god of strength).

A large tidal wave, triggered by a distant explosion, threatens to drown the island of Atlantis. In the midst of an evacuation from the capital city, the Queen of Atlantis is caught by a strange, hypnotic blue light and lifted up into the "Heart of Atlantis", a powerful crystal protecting the city. The crystal consumes her and creates a dome barrier that protects the city's innermost district.
