Biography
Akkaya was born on 3 August 1977 in İstanbul, Turkey and moved to Mersin and then to Ankara with her family. She studied American philology at Istanbul University. In 1997 she won the Best Model of Turkey and Best Model of the World contests and decided to embark on a professional modelling career. She is also an actress and an editor for a fashion magazine. She has acted in "Vizontele Tuuba", "Okul", "Metro Palas", "Şarkılar Seni Söyler" and "Yeşil Işık". After an unsuccessful bank robbery, as well as the failure of a spontaneous ambush upon the oil plant in Iraq, the clumsiest comedy heroes of Turkish Cinema finally decide to retire from their small criminal lives. However, the dignified career as exterminator suffers many infamous perils, as the lovable idiots inhale more insecticide than the insects themselves. Thus the doctor prescribes a vacation at the seaside. But then there is Rocky Selim, a wicked crook from the underworld, disguised as an honorable businessman, who is planning a perfect casino robbery in North Cyprus. His plan is flawless. Yet, he is desperately in need of a criminal gang, to carry out his plan. As a fortunate coincidence, the paths of the masked gang overlap with Rocky Selim, who hires them instantly. The school magazine editor Gökalp is in love with Güldem, a girl in his class. He writes stories and letters to her in order to win her heart, but she isn't interested. So he commits suicide after leaving a secret letter. A year after his death, strange things begin to happen. Guner Sernikli is a government official who, with his wife and their wheelchair bound daughter, has been assigned as the head librarian to this isolated province, virtually an exile since there is no library in the village. The family is warmly welcome, but these are the years of political anarchy and leftist/rightist clashes in big cities and the youth of the village inevitably follow the tides. They arrive in Vizontele, just as the situation is becoming really absurd. Guner brings wisdom; his daughter Tuba brings beauty, innocence and love. Some like the Mayor, Nazmi Dogan and crazy Emin appreciate these things but they are in the minority and confusion continues to reign. The story is based on the memories of writer-director Yılmaz Erdoğan of the last summer of his childhood in Hakkâri, Turkey in 1980.

Elif is a married woman who has just caught her husband cheating. Ali is an investor on the verge of making a huge deal which could be very profitable, though at a high risk.
