Donna Gigliotti is a Producer American born on 1 january 1955
Donna Gigliotti (born 1955) is an American film producer. She is best known for producing the academy award winning film Shakespeare in Love with David Parfitt, Harvey Weinstein, Edward Zwick and Marc Norman (who also co-wrote the film's screenplay). Gigliotti started her professional career as an assistant to Martin Scorsese on the film Raging Bull. During the 1990s Gigliotti worked as an executive-producer on several films including Emma, Talk of Angels and Devil in a Blue Dress. She is currently head of production for USA films.

Biography
Donna Gigliotti commence sa carrière comme assistante de Martin Scorsese sur le tournage de Raging Bull. Elle devient par la suite directrice des acquisitions pour UA Classics, une filiale d'United Artists, puis fonde, avec Michael Barker, Tom Bernard et Marcie Bloom, Orion Classics, une filiale d'Orion Pictures.Entre 1993 et 1996, elle est vice-présidente de Miramax Films. Au début des années 2000, elle est présidente chargée de la production pour USA Films. En octobre 2010 elle est nommée présidente chargée de la production pour The Weinstein Company.

À la suite du lancement réussi de Spoutnik 1, Al Harrison, directeur du Space Task Group, exige encore plus d'efforts de la part des employés sous sa supervision, de crainte que les Soviétiques ne mettent en orbite une bombe H pouvant exploser au-dessus du sol américain. Goble est envoyée dans son groupe pour vérifier les calculs, devenant la première Afro-Américaine à participer à ce groupe de recherche. Au début, elle est ignorée de ses collègues blancs et doit travailler à partir de données partiellement masquées (Goble n'ayant pas le niveau d'habilitation nécessaire) sous les ordres de Paul Stafford, un homme croyant en sa supériorité intellectuelle et refusant de reconnaître le travail de Katherine.

The movie follows a man's search for perfection in a world where life rarely measures up to the idealized images that constantly bombard us. In 1593 London, William Shakespeare is a sometime player in the Lord Chamberlain's Men and poor playwright for Philip Henslowe, owner of The Rose Theatre. Shakespeare is working on a new comedy, Romeo and Ethel, the Pirate's Daughter. Suffering from writer's block, he has barely begun the play, but starts auditioning players. Viola de Lesseps, the daughter of a wealthy merchant, who has seen Shakespeare's plays at court, disguises herself as "Thomas Kent" to audition, then runs away. Shakespeare pursues Kent to Viola's house and leaves a note with the nurse, asking Thomas Kent to begin rehearsals at the Rose. He sneaks into the house with the minstrels playing that night at the ball, where her parents are arranging her betrothal to Lord Wessex, an impoverished aristocrat. While dancing with Viola, Shakespeare is struck speechless, and after being forcibly ejected by Wessex, uses Thomas Kent as a go-between to woo her. Wessex also asks Will's name, to which he replies that he is Christopher Marlowe.
