Doraid Liddawi (en arabe , en hébreu, ) est un acteur arabe israélien de cinéma, de théâtre et de télévision né en 1984 à Nazareth. Il fait également des doublages et des émissions de radio.
Il est membre du Théâtre Majâz (« métaphore » en arabe), qui rassemble de jeunes comédiens tout autour de la Méditerranée. La troupe a joué en 2011 la pièce Croisades de Michel Azama, invitée par le Théâtre du Soleil d’Ariane Mnouchkine.

Ziad, un garçon de 10 ans solitaire et rêveur, vit avec son père veuf Yacine, vétérinaire au zoo de Qalqilya, le seul de Cisjordanie. Ziad a noué un lien fort avec le couple de girafes du zoo, Brownie et Rita, dont il s’occupe personnellement. L’opération Rempart est alors déclenchée par l’armée israélienne dans le cadre de la seconde Intifada. Alors que Laura, une journaliste française qui couvre les événements, arrive au zoo où Yacine la soigne d’une blessure légère, Brownie est tué dans un bombardement, au grand désespoir de Ziad, après quoi Rita refuse de s’alimenter. Les médicaments du zoo étant périmés, Laura se rend au zoo de Tel Aviv où le vétérinaire Yohav Alon, ami israélien de Yacine, lui donne le nécessaire pour soigner Rita, qui s’avère enceinte.

Omar (Adam Bakri) is a Palestinian baker who frequently climbs the West Bank barrier to visit his lover Nadia (Leem Lubany), a high-school girl whom he intends to marry. After being beaten and humiliated by a group of Israeli soliders, Omar and his childhood friends Tarek (Eyad Hourani) and Amjad (Samer Bisharat) stage an attack on an Israeli checkpoint. During the attack, Amjad fires the shot that kills an Israeli soldier. Later, Omar and his friends are subsequently pursued by the Israeli authorities. During the pursuit, Omar is captured and imprisoned by the Israeli authorities. Facing a lengthy prison term, Omar is forcibly coerced by an Israeli agent named Rami (Waleed Zuaiter) into working as a double agent for the Israeli authorities. Agent Rami secures Omar's release in exchange for the latter bringing Tarek to the authorities.

During the 1982 Lebanon War, an Israeli fighter pilot, Yoni, is shot down over Beirut and captured by the Palestine Liberation Organization. Fahed, a precocious young Palestinian refugee who is angered by the death of his father in an Israeli air attack, agrees to help Yoni escape and lead him out of the city if Yoni will get him over the border and back to his family's ancestral village, where Fahed intends to plant an olive tree that his father had been tending in Beirut. As they embark on a hazardous road trip across the war-ravaged country, Yoni and Fahed move from suspicion and mutual antagonism to a tentative camaraderie as they make their way closer to the place they both call home.
