En 2004, après des rôles secondaires dans des films de Dario Argento, Pierfrancesco Campanella , Carlo Verdone et Alex Infascelli, elle retrouve une premier rôle avec le film d'horreur à petit budget I tre volti del terrore de Sergio Stivaletti . L'année suivante, elle s'essaie à la comédie avec Claudio Amendola et Enzo Salvi pour partenaires dans Il ritorno del Monnezza de Carlo Vanzina. Elle partage également l'affiche des thrillers Aimez-vous Hitchcock ? (Ti piace Hitchcock?) de Dario Argento avec Chiara Conti et Elio Germano et celle de Piano 17 des frères Manetti avec Giampaolo Morelli et Giuseppe Soleri et est membre du jury lors du Brussels Film Festival.
La même année, elle débute une nouvelle carrière de réalisatrice et scénariste avec le court-métrage L'ultima seduta et se consacre dès lors à cette activité, tournant peu et uniquement dans des rôles secondaires au cinéma, avec une parenthèse pour un rôle régulier dans la série télévisée Terapia d'urgenza entre 2007 et 2008. Biography
Elle débute comme actrice au cinéma en 1996 dans le drame Compagne de voyage (Compagna di viaggio) de Peter Del Monte. À l’Inviolata, un hameau agricole de Lombardie resté à l’écart du monde et du modernisme, règne la marquise Alfonsina de Luna. In a flashback to 1991, while riding his bike through the woods, a young boy spots a woman darting between the trees. He puts down his bike and runs after her. The woman meets up with another woman, they speak briefly and run together through the woods until they arrive at an old stone house. The boy continues after them, peeks through the window of the house and watches as they wildly slaughter a rooster. The women spot the boy at the window and chase after him, saying "You'll be sorry, I'll kill you, You'll never get away from us". The flashback ends.

The film centers around a serial killer known as "The Card Player", who is kidnapping young women in Rome. Detective Ulisse Moretti (von Sydow) is investigating a series of murders in Turin in 1983 known as The Dwarf Murders.
