Ernest Mingione is an American actor mainly known for portraying police officers. He has made many appearances in Third Watch between 1999 to 2000. He has appeared in shows such as Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Beginning in March 2010, he began a recurring role as Rocco Ciccone on the CBS soap As the World Turns.
In 2007, Mingione starred with Gina Ferranti and Jason Cerbone in Charles Messina's play Merging, which won BEST PLAY in The Players' Theater's Shortened Attention Span Theater Festival in Greenwich Village. Mingione also starred in the film version of Merging, which was released in 2009.

After performing a set at her regular comedy club, Donna Stern (Jenny Slate) is dumped in the bathroom by her boyfriend, Ryan (Paul Briganti), who confesses he is leaving her for one of her friends. Donna tailspins into a wave of depression and later drunkenly delivers a terrible set in which she insults her ex-boyfriend. Later that night, at the bar, she meets Max (Jake Lacy), who is there with clients but who missed her set. Donna and Max have an instant connection and they end up having sex. In the morning Donna leaves Max's apartment without saying goodbye.

It is the summer of 1977 and New York City lives in fear of the serial killer Son of Sam who has shot several women in parked cars. One night, Vinny and his wife Dionna go to a night club, where they dance and have drinks with friends. Dionna's attractive cousin wants to leave, which Vinny volunteers to take her cousin home. He takes her to an undisclosed area and has anal sex with her in the back seat of his car. Moments after Vinny and Dionna's cousin finish and leave the area, the Son of Sam killer arrives and kills two victims that were parked not too far from where Vinny was at.
