Born in Peschiera del Garda, Italy, the 1.84m tall actor started his film career as a stuntman in his college years. His most famous job as a stuntman was in Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West, where he fell from a rooftop and hit the ground on his shoulder.
He has a son, Edwin, born 1971, from his relationship with Edwige Fenech. In 1979 Testi married Lola Navarro, with whom he fathered three children. On January 3, 2015 he got married to Antonella Liguori.

Biography
Fabio Testi débute au cinéma en tant que doublure, dans Le Bon, la Brute et le Truand, de Sergio Leone. Après avoir interprété ses premiers vrais rôles dans des western-spaghettis à petit budget, il apparaît en 1970 dans un film plus prestigieux, Le Jardin des Finzi-Contini, de Vittorio De Sica. Il donne ensuite la réplique à Charlotte Rampling dans Dommage qu'elle soit une putain et à Claudia Cardinale dans Les Gouapes. Devenu une vedette du cinéma italien des années 1970, il alterne films de genre et films d'auteur, apparaissant également, grâce au jeu des coproductions européennes, dans divers films français, comme Le Tueur, de Denys de La Patellière ou Nada, de Claude Chabrol. Il tient le rôle masculin principal de L'important c'est d'aimer d'Andrzej Żuławski, aux côtés de Romy Schneider et Jacques Dutronc.Best films

Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) is a young American woman who works for The New Yorker as a fact checker. She goes on a pre-honeymoon with her chef fiancé Victor (Gael García Bernal) to Verona, Italy. Victor is unmoved by the romance of Italy and uses his time to research his soon-to-open restaurant, often neglecting Sophie. Sophie accidentally discovers an unanswered "letter to Juliet" by a Claire Smith from 1957, one of thousands of missives left at the fictional lover's Verona courtyard that are typically answered by the "secretaries of Juliet". She answers it and within a week the now elderly Claire (Vanessa Redgrave) arrives in Verona with her handsome barrister grandson Charlie (Christopher Egan).
