Biography
Francesco Prosperi fait ses premiers pas dans le monde du cinéma comme assistant à la réalisation, spécialement auprès de Mario Bava. Après quelques années (en 1965) il signe lui-même avec Franco Nero Technique d'un meurtre (Tecnica di un omicidio), et en réalise ensuite beaucoup d'autres. Il utilise alors assez régulièrement le pseudonyme Frank Shannon, usage alors assez commun chez les réalisateurs et les acteurs italiens.Ses dernières collaborations dans le monde du cinéma furent en 1986, le scénario du western réalisé par Bruno Mattei et Claudio Fragasso Bianco Apache, ainsi que celui du peu connu Computron 22, de Giuliano Carnimeo, en 1988.

Après le braquage sanglant d'une banque, trois malfrats, menés par Aldo, s'enfuient en voiture pour trouver rapidement une planque avant la mise en place de barrages de police. Lorsque le véhicule tombe en panne, ils sont contraints de se réfugier dans une villa en bord de mer qu'ils pensent vide. Mais elle est occupée par une nonne, sœur Christina, ses cinq élèves en pleine répétition de la pièce de théâtre Le Songe d'une nuit d'été de William Shakespeare et une femme de ménage. En attendant l'arrivée du bus scolaire censé récupérer les filles, qu'ils veulent voler pour continuer leur fuite, les trois braqueurs se livrent aux pires exactions envers leurs otages. Après avoir tué la bonne à coups de fer à repasser, ils violent la nonne et certaines élèves avant d'en abattre une. Assoiffées de vengeance, sœur Christina et les autres victimes se vengent d'eux en les assassinant un par un.

In the hospital in Rome, Italy, an old Russian emigrant woman dies. Dying, she tells her granddaughter that she has hidden her treasures in Leningrad under the lion. Unfortunately, beside her granddaughter she was heard also by a solid doctor, 2 male nurses, an Italian mafioso and a hobbling man. After that they all fly to Russia by the same flight (of course none of them tells the others that he's flying to Russia for the treasures). Having some adventures in the airplane because of mafioso, they all arrive to Leningrad and begin to dig under every lion statue in the city.

Le film raconte les déboires de trois soldats italiens de la division Belluno pendant la Seconde guerre mondiale : le sergent Egisto Brugnoli, qui prend son grade très au sérieux ; Primo, qui après avoir essayé de se faire réformer à cause des otites dont il souffre régulièrement, fait tout son possible pour tirer au flanc ; Colovà, très encombré d'images féminines. Après une période sur le front balkanique, ils sont envoyés en Sicile. Dans les combats qui suivent le débarquement allié du 10 juillet 1943 (Operation Husky), Colovà est blessé et devient eunuque, tandis que Egisto et Primo perdent leur unité, mais rejoignent Salerne, où ils se déguisent en Hitler et Mussolini pour éviter d'être fusillés par les Allemands, avant de tomber aux mains des Alliés, auxquels ils ont bien du mal à expliquer leurs déguisements. Leurs aventures ne sont pas finies car ils sont enrôlés dans une unité italienne aux côtés des alliés, et c'est seulement la paix qui met fin à leurs déboires.

In Portugal, there is the running of the bulls and bull fights where matadors challenge the bulls. At Garoka, New Guinea, there are indigenous tribes who go to church. Upon his return to Italy from his many adventures, the great warrior Hercules learns that his lover, Princess Deianira (Daianara), has lost her senses. According to the oracle Medea (Gaia Germani), Daianara's only hope is the Stone of Forgetfulness which lies deep in the realm of Hades. Hercules, with two companions, Theseus and Telemachus, embarks on a dangerous quest for the stone, while he is unaware that Dianara's guardian, King Lico, is the one responsible for her condition and plots to have the girl for himself as his bride upon her revival. Lico is in fact in league with the dark forces of the underworld, and it is up to Hercules to stop him.
