Françoise Bonnot (born 1939) is a French film editor with more than 40 feature film credits.
Bonnot is the daughter of Monique Bonnot, a film editor noted for several films directed by Jean-Pierre Melville. In her first film credit, Françoise Bonnot was the assistant to her mother on Melville's 1959 film, Two Men in Manhattan (1959). She and her mother co-edited the 1962 film, A Monkey in Winter, that was directed by Henri Verneuil. At about this time Bonnot married Verneuil; she edited three more of his films in the 1960s. Bonnot edited Melville's 1969 film, Army of Shadows, when her mother became unavailable. This film is about the French resistance fighters during the Second World War, and was a departure from Melville's more characteristic crime and detective films. Bonnot later remarked that Melville “... had known me since I was eight years old. It was like working with my big brother. He was a character––fascinating, charming, fun and tyrannical.”
By 1968, Bonnot had commenced her notable collaboration with director Costa-Gavras that extended over eight films and nearly 30 years. Their first film together was Z (1969); James Berardinelli has written recently that, "Z was the third feature film from Greek-born Costa-Gavras, but it is the movie that captured him to the world's attention, winning a Best Foreign Language Film Oscar. It introduced the director's signature approach of combining overt political messages with edge-of-the-seat tension." After Z, their most widely recognized film together is probably Missing (1982). Their last film together was Mad City (1997).
Since 1997, Bonnot has edited the films directed by Julie Taymor, who had been known primarily as a stage director. Their films include Frida (2002) and The Tempest (2010).
Bonnot won the Academy Award for Film Editing for Z (1969), and the BAFTA Award for Best Editing for Missing (1982). She has been nominated three times for the César Award for Best Editing (for The Simple Past (1977), Hannah K. (1983) and Place Vendôme (1998)). She has been elected to membership in the American Cinema Editors.
Bonnot and Henri Verneuil have two children. Their son, Patrick Malakian, is a film director; Bonnot edited his 1994 French-language film Pourquoi maman est dans mon lit?.

Jude meets his father, who is a janitor at Princeton University, and befriends Lucy's brother, the privileged and rebellious student Max ("With a Little Help from My Friends"). Marc, la quarantaine, marié, père de famille, vit à Aix-en-Provence, près de la Méditerranée. Agent immobilier dans l'agence de son beau-père, il mène une vie tranquille. Alors qu'il fait visiter une maison à vendre, il croise une femme qui veut acheter cette maison pour le compte d’un marchand de bien et dont le visage lui semble familier. Le soir, il pense qu'il s'agit de Cathy, son amour d'enfance, quittée à douze ans lorsque sa famille dut fuir Oran, dans les années 1960, en pleine guerre d'Algérie. Troublé par cette rencontre il se remémore son amour d’enfance et retombe follement amoureux d’elle, oubliant sa femme et sa fille. Il la revoit et a une relation sexuelle avec mais elle le quitte au matin sans lui donner ses coordonnées en lui disant simplement qu’ils se reverront le jour de la signature du compromis de vente chez le notaire. Ils se revoient ce jour là mais après elle disparait de nouveau bien que lui ayant promis de le revoir à son hotel. Marc est troublé et se rend compte qu’il y a des choses étranges car sa mère et sa soeur lui apprennent que Cathy est morte avec son père dans un attentat peu aprés son propre départ précipité vers la France avec ses parents. Il mène son enquête partagé ente espoir et doute car il s’est de nouveau follement épris de celle qu’il croit être Cathy. Au fil de ses découvertes il découvre que « Cathy » est mêlée plus ou moins malgré elle a une opération immobilière frauduleuse montée par un des collègues de Marc et qu’en fait la dite Cathy est en réalité sa meilleure amie Marie-Jeanne (amoureuse de Marc lorsqu’ils étaient tous ensemble) que Marc avait cotoyé mais ignoré car à l’époque il n’avait d’yeux que pour Cathy. Cathy qui est bien morte en Algérie comme sa mère et sa soeur le savaient mais ne lui en avaient rien dit à l’époque car sachant son amour pour Cathy et son désespoir d’avoir du quitter l’Algérie et son amour d’enfance. Quelques mois plus tard alors que Marc est séparé de sa femme et vit seul il revoit Marie-Jeanne (la fausse Cathy) qui lui avoue avoir toujours été amoureuse de lui et a souffert en silence dans l’ombre, elle n’a jamais dit être Cathy mais éprouvant encore de l’amour pour lui elle n’a pas eu le courage de le détromper. Ils se revoient quelque temps plus tard et Marc lui dit qu’il va revenir sur les lieux de son enfance mais elle avoue ne pas en avoir le courage. Le film se termine à Oran où on voit Marc en pleurs qui revient sur la terrasse où il a passé de tendres moments avec Cathy. On ne sait pas comment se poursuivrait la relation entre Marie-Jeanne et Marc mais ils semblent néanmoins très proches lors de leur dernière entrevue avant le depart de Marc pour l'Algérie donc on peut supposer une suite positive a leur relation.

Frida begins just before the traumatic accident Frida Kahlo (Salma Hayek) suffered at the age of 18 when a trolley bus collided with a motor bus she was riding. She is impaled by a metal pole and the injuries she sustained plague her for the rest of her life. To help her through convalescence, her father brings her a canvas upon which to start painting. Throughout the film, a scene starts as a painting, then slowly dissolves into a live-action scene with actors.

Zora Banks (Sanaa Lathan) moves from Manhattan to her newly renovated brownstone in Brooklyn. Franklin (Wesley Snipes) is polishing the floors in what will be her new apartment. Franklin informs her that she cannot move in yet due to her wood grain floors not being dry. An upset Zora then threatens to fire one of the moving men, who proceed to leave her furniture and boxes on the sidewalk. Desperate, she asks Franklin to help her move her things. After moving her in, they begin to talk and he asks her who is helping her unpack and get settled in; she replies by saying no one is helping her. A boy eating lunch in a 1950s style kitchen plays war with his surrounding toys. A bomb blast outside the window frightens him under the table from where he is rescued and taken to an Amphitheatre, where an invisible audience cheers. An army resembling the Terracotta Army enter; Romans under the command of Titus Andronicus, the general at the center of the play, return victorious from war. In the beginning, Columbus is obsessed with making a trip westwards to Asia, but lacks crew and a ship. The Catholic theologians at the University of Salamanca heavily disapprove of it, and they are not keen on ideas that go against the writings of Ptolemaeus. After continuous warnings at the monastery, he becomes involved in a brawl with the monks, ending up lying in the monastery courtyard to pay penance. His eldest son, Diego, one of the monks, looks on disapprovingly. As Columbus continues his penance through a vow of silence, he is approached by Martín Pinzon, a shipowner from Palos, who introduces Columbus to the banker Santángel. Queen Isabella I (Sigourney Weaver) owes money to Santángel. Columbus meets with the queen, who grants him his journey in exchange for his promise to bring back sufficient amounts of riches in gold.
