Gabriel Braga Nunes (born February 7, 1972 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian actor, best known for his work in telenovelas, especially Essas Mulheres, Cidadão Brasileiro, Caminhos do Coração and Poder Paralelo. He also stars in Insensato Coração for TV Globo.

Biography

Son of actress Regina Braga and director Celso Nunes. A graduate in Theatre Arts from UNICAMP, made his television debut in 1996, playing Mário on the soap opera Razão de Viver, the SBT. After that, he worked in several of the Rede Globo soap operas such as O Beijo do Vampiro, Terra Nostra and Anjo Mau.

In 2006, participates in his second record in the network, after the successful soap opera Essas Mulheres, where he played Fernando Seixas, Braga Nunes starred Cidadão Brasileiro as Antonio Maciel. In 2009, Gabriel Braga Nunes protagonist of the novel Poder Paralelo with the character Antonio Castellamare, with actress Paloma Duarte. Doca (Otávio Müller), Danillo (Gabriel Braga Nunes), Carlinhos (Marcello Melo Jr.), Branco (Milhem Cortaz) and Samuel (Caio Blat) are five policemen working undercover at the Complexo do Alemão, an area which gathers several slums and is considered one of the most dangerous places in Rio de Janeiro. Their operation goes wrong after the government threatens to raid the place using military vehicles, which leads local drug lord Playboy (Cauã Reymond) to cut off all the slum's communications, leaving them unable to contact their boss, Samuel's father sheriff Valadares (Antonio Fagundes) and forcing them to hide at the basement of Doca's pizzeria, which serves as their base of operations. Their situation is worsened when Valadares' assistant Pixixo (Izak Dahora) is almost killed by Playboy's men and drops a briefcase containing details on all the policemen infiltrated in the slums.
