George Paul Blagden (born 28 December 1989) is an English stage and film actor. He is best known for his role as Athelstan in the television series Vikings. He also played Grantaire in the 2012 film adaptation of Les Misérables and will portray Louis XIV in the upcoming French-produced television series drama Versailles.
Grâce à sa bourse d'études, il a intégré la Oundle School, où il étudie l'art dramatique. Un dimanche midi, Jean se rend au traditionnel repas dominical chez ses parents. Il se lasse d'avance des habitudes de chacun et de ce moment où la table entière le harcèlera de commentaires sur différents points tels son homosexualité, sa situation, avec son "ami", l'argent, le loyer... Puis, il décrit chaque personne se situant autour de la table: sa mère, regrettant ses années de jeunesse et parlant des ses folies lorsqu'elle avait l'âge de Jean; ses deux horribles tantes, décrites comme vierges, agressives et acerbes; son père, proche de l'alcoolisme et ayant des difficultés à s'exprimer; sa grand-mère qui ne bouge presque jamais, dont personne ne sait ce à quoi elle pense, mais est choquée par les "sodomites" (sic). Mr. Zimit, a philosophy teacher at an international school in Jakarta, has been challenging his class of twenty with thought exercises to prepare them for their future. Perseus (Sam Worthington), a son of Zeus (Liam Neeson), lives as a fisherman after the death of his wife, Io (portrayed by Gemma Arterton in the previous film), with his young son, Helius (John Bell). In 1815, convict Jean Valjean is released on parole by prison guard Javert after serving a nineteen-year sentence for stealing a loaf of bread and numerous escape attempts. Valjean is refused employment due to his paroled status. He is offered food and shelter by the Bishop of Digne, but Valjean steals his silver during the night. When he is captured by the constables, the Bishop tells them that the silver was given as a gift, securing Valjean's release. The Bishop urges Valjean to do something worthwhile with his life. Moved by the Bishop's grace, Valjean breaks his parole and vows to start a new life under a new identity.
