Gerard Joseph Malanga (born March 20, 1943) is an American-Italian poet, photographer, filmmaker, curator and archivist.
Il a été de 1963 à 1970 le bras droit d'Andy Warhol, avec qui il crée le magazine Interview en 1969, il sera aussi acteur dans divers films de ce dernier.
Malanga est resté célèbre également pour ses danses dans le spectacle total de Warhol, l'Exploding Plastic Inevitable (ou EPI), qu'accompagnait le Velvet Underground, muni d'un fouet de dresseur. Il avait amené Warhol à découvrir le groupe en décembre 1965, après l'avoir découvert lui-même la veille en compagnie de Barbara Rubin.

Edie Sedgwick (Sienna Miller) is a young heiress studying art in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She moves to New York City, where she is introduced to pop art painter and film-maker Andy Warhol (Guy Pearce). Intrigued by the beautiful socialite, he asks her to perform in one of his underground movies. Soon she is spending time with him at the Factory, his studio and also the hangout of a group of eccentrics, some of them drug addicts. Her status as Warhol superstar and success as a fashion model earn her popularity and international attention.

Glauco, a middle-aged industrial designer of gas masks, is growing tired of his occupation. Having discussed alienation with a colleague at the factory, he returns home. His wife is in bed with a headache but has left him dinner, which has become cold. He is dissatisfied with the food and begins preparing himself a gourmet meal. While collecting ingredients he discovers an old revolver wrapped in a 1934 newspaper with the headline "Dillinger is dead" and an account of the famous American gangster's death. Glauco cleans and restores the gun while continuing to cook his dinner, then paints it red with white polka dots. He also eats his meal, watches some television and projected home movies, listens to music and seduces their maid. With the gun he enacts suicide a number of times. At dawn he shoots his wife thrice in the head as she sleeps. Then he drives to the seaside where he gets a job as a chef on a yacht bound for Tahiti.
