Gianni Cavina (born 9 December 1940) is an Italian film actor. He has appeared in more than 45 films since 1949.
Born in Bologna, Cavina trained as a stage actor at the Teatro Stabile di Bologna, under the direction of Franco Parenti. He made his film debut in the 1968 horror Balsamus, l'uomo di Satana, directed by Pupi Avati, with whom he had a long collaboration, starring in a large number of his films.

Bologna, 1954. In the Margherita Cafè the young Taddeo meets a group of strange characters, led by the old Al. Al is a man who likes pretty girls, and soon Taddeo gets hired as his driver to take him to brave nights. While consume the stories of the other characters, who regularly go at the bar Margherita every day, Taddeo meets a beautiful librarian of his own age, and plans to marry her. The innkeeper Mirandolina is a beautiful girl, and for her beauty the Count of Albafiorita (Conte di Albafiorita) and the Marquis of Forlimpopoli (Marchese di Forlimpopoli) fall in love. The two noble customers bestow rich gifts to her, trying to ingratiate and to marry her, but the crafty Mirandolina only accepts the money and jewels, leaving them with an inch of them nose. A third man arrives on the scene: the Knight of Ripafratta (Cavaliere di Ripafratta) extremely misogynist, who thinks that the woman bears only man trouble. Mirandolina, who has never seen a man like that, tries to do it on purpose and the knight manages to fall in love with her.
