Guinevere Jane Turner (May 23, 1968) is an American actress and screenwriter. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts. She is best known as the screenwriter of such films as American Psycho and The Notorious Bettie Page and for playing the lead role of the dominatrix Tanya Cheex in Preaching to the Perverted.

Biography

En 1995, elle écrit avec Rose Troche une pièce de théâtre, aussitôt transformée en scénario pour le film Go Fish. La pièce remporte un prix Lambda Literary et le film reçoit le Teddy Award du meilleur film au Festival de Berlin (1994).

Par la suite, elle incarne en 1997 dans le film BDSM / fétichiste Preaching to the Perverted le rôle de Tanya Cheex, une dominatrice new-yorkaise.

Guinevere Turner et la réalisatrice du film I Shot Andy Warhol, Mary Harron, écrivent en collaboration le scénario finalement sélectionné pour l'adaptation cinématographique du roman de Bret Easton Ellis American Psycho. Elle fait une brève apparition dans le film.

Elle fait aussi plusieurs apparitions dans la série télévisée américaine The L Word, dont elle a été scénariste durant les deux premières saisons.

En 2005, Turner écrit le scénario du film BloodRayne réalisé par Uwe Boll, et celui de The Notorious Bettie Page, avec la réalisatrice Mary Harron.
