Hanns Kräly (January 16, 1884 – November 11, 1950), credited in the United States as Hans Kraly, was a German actor and screenwriter. His main collaborations were with director Ernst Lubitsch, and they worked together on 30 films between 1915 and 1929. Kräly is also notable for his comedy play Kohlhiesel's Daughters which has been turned into films on a number of occasions.
Kräly was nominated for three Academy Awards for writing. He won the award for Adapted Screenplay with The Patriot in 1930. He was also nominated for the adapted screenplay of The Last of Mrs. Cheyney, also in 1930, and for Original Screenplay of One Hundred Men and a Girl in 1937. Additional screenwriting credits include Private Lives and Just a Gigolo, both released in 1931.

Sa fille Sabine, qui travaille assidûment pour le garagiste Freitag et doit principalement servir les clients des stations-service, ne veut plus regarder le découragement de son père et décide ensuite d'agir de manière dynamique. Elle souhaite désespérément que Papa Viktor se produise à nouveau en tant que violon soliste, car elle sait que c'est toute sa vie. Avec une endurance infatigable, l'adolescente, soutenue par Wölfchen Freitag, presque du même âge, le fils du patron, et fait appel à d'autres violonistes, pianistes et flûtistes, souvent au chômage ou jouant pour des fêtes de famille, parfois très âgés, jusqu'à obtenir un orchestre symphonique complet de 99 hommes. L'un d'entre eux, Martin Mansfeld, était présent lorsque Viktor Lorenz, qui n'a pas le droit de tout savoir sur les efforts de Sabine, a donné son premier concert.

Dr. Alfred Morris (Zucco) is curious about the effects of an ancient nerve gas, used by the Mayans during rituals of human dissection to appease their gods. John Cardwell (Adolphe Menjou), a trombone player, is only one of a large group of unemployed musicians. Elyot Chase and Amanda Prynne, divorced after a tempestuous marriage, are dismayed to discover they both have opted to honeymoon with their new spouses at the same hotel on the French Riviera.
