Il commence avec de nombreux engagements dans de nombreux théâtres allemands, mais aussi au Burgtheater de Vienne et au Festival de Salzbourg. À 25 ans, il est membre de l'ensemble du Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel et à 30 ans, il est nommé Bayerischer Staatsschauspieler. Trois ans plus tard, il fait sa première en tant que metteur en scène au Residenztheater de Munich et deux ans plus tard, il est metteur en scène et acteur au Deutsches Schauspielhaus de Hambourg.

Biography
Hans-Michael Rehberg est l'un des six enfants de l'écrivain Hans Rehberg et de son épouse Maria Ohly. Il grandit dans le Brandebourg, en Silésie, au lac de Starnberg et à Duisbourg. Après avoir abandonné l'école, il commence sa formation d'acteur à la Folkwang Universität d'Essen.Il commence avec de nombreux engagements dans de nombreux théâtres allemands, mais aussi au Burgtheater de Vienne et au Festival de Salzbourg. À 25 ans, il est membre de l'ensemble du Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel et à 30 ans, il est nommé Bayerischer Staatsschauspieler. A woman (Martina Gedeck) travels with her two friends, Hugo and Luise, and their loyal dog Lynx to their isolated hunting lodge in the Austrian Alps. Soon after they arrive, Luise insists that Hugo accompany her to a pub in a nearby village, leaving behind their dog and the woman. The next morning, realizing her friends never returned as planned, the woman sets off on foot toward the village, followed by the dog. As she walks along the road, her progress is stopped abruptly by a mysterious invisible wall. After several unsuccessful attempts to continue past the invisible barrier, the woman turns back to the lodge with the dog. Along the way she approaches a farmhouse, but again is prevented by the invisible wall from making contact with the two owners who appear frozen in time.

Enrico Puzzo (Franco Nero) is an eccentric Italian author who claims he knows the mafia from inside. Based on these allegations he wrote a book and sold it under a pen name to a German publishing house. Puzzo lives in an expensive hotel, where he doesn't hesitate to threaten employees with his pistol in case something isn't to his liking. He also consumes a great deal of cocaine, sometimes even at broad daylight on the balcony of his hotel suite. As crazy as he is, he writes on a typewriter and sends a unique typescript to his publisher who is already about to have a huge press conference on this book. That is when Toni Ricardelli (Rick Kavanian), a German-born hitman of suave behaviour, comes into play. He intercepts the script just in time, leaving the publisher Christopher Kimbel (Hans-Michael Rehberg) empty-handed. Not the mafia, but the publisher is embarrassed.

Sous la forme d'un documentaire, le film raconte le passé des personnages principaux, leurs entrées dans ce service municipal et la fin de toutes ces histoires de bureaux ; c'est pourquoi il y a souvent des retours en arrière. On voit Engelbert Breitfuß enfant être initié par son père à la vie de bureau. Michael Weber connaît une carrière sans obstacles mais se retrouve bizarrement dans ce service municipal. Knackal était auparavant vendeuse de saucisses ; un jour, le maire lui découvre un talent caché et l'embauche auprès de lui. D'autres retours dans le passé montrent l'histoire du service au temps de l'âge de pierre, dans la Rome antique, à l'époque de Marie-Thérèse, du Congrès de Vienne et au début de la Seconde République.

In Kraków during World War II, the Germans had forced local Polish Jews into the overcrowded Kraków Ghetto. Oskar Schindler, an ethnic German, arrives in the city hoping to make his fortune. A member of the Nazi Party, Schindler lavishes bribes on Wehrmacht (German armed forces) and SS officials and acquires a factory to produce enamelware. To help him run the business, Schindler enlists the aid of Itzhak Stern, a local Jewish official who has contacts with black marketeers and the Jewish business community. Stern helps Schindler arrange loans to finance the factory. Schindler maintains friendly relations with the Nazis and enjoys wealth and status as "Herr Direktor", and Stern handles administration. Schindler hires Jewish workers because they cost less, while Stern ensures that as many people as possible are deemed essential to the German war effort, which saves them from being transported to concentration camps or killed.
