Harry Elfont (born April 5, 1968) is an American screenwriter and film director.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in nearby Lower Moreland Township, he met his creative partner Deborah Kaplan while they were both enrolled at the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University (NYU). They have since written several films together, and directed two: Can't Hardly Wait and Josie and the Pussycats.
His mother was a teacher at Murray Avenue grade school in Lower Moreland.
Elfont was inducted in Lower Moreland High School's Hall of Fame in 1998.

Wyatt Frame (Alan Cumming) is an executive with record label MegaRecords. The label, headed by the trend-conscious and scheming Fiona (Parker Posey), manufactures faddish pop bands for consumption by the teenage market. Conspiring with the United States government, they add subliminal messages under the music to brainwash teens into buying their records and other consumer products, creating "a new trend every week". The Government's plan is to build a robust economy from the "wads of cash" teenagers supposedly earn from babysitting and minimum wage jobs. When a member of Wyatt's wildly successful boy band, Du Jour, uncovers one such message and asks Wyatt about it aboard their private jet, Wyatt and the pilot (Harry Elfont) parachute out of the plane, leaving it to crash and kill the band members.

Students from the suburbs of Philadelphia are attending a high-school graduation party at a large house owned by a rich class member's family. Preston Meyers (Ethan Embry) plans to proclaim his love to his four-year secret crush Amanda Beckett (Jennifer Love Hewitt). Frustrated that her boyfriend of four years, Jeremy, still has not proposed to her, Anna Brady, from Boston, travels to Dublin, Ireland to propose to him on February 29, leap day, while he is there at an international cardiologists' conference. According to Irish tradition, a man who is proposed to on leap day must accept the proposal. During the flight, a storm diverts the plane to Cardiff in Wales. Anna hires a boat to take her to Cork, but the severity of the storm forces her to be put ashore on the Dingle Peninsula. She enlists the help of a surly Irish innkeeper, Declan O'Callaghan, to taxi her across the country to Dublin to pull off the proposal in time. Meanwhile, her clumsiness in her room at the inn accidentally causes a power failure to the local village but also opens up the plot of Declans backstory and introduces the idea of a lost love from the picture that Anna finds in the armor, causing distress from Declan and making it become more intriquing. This causes Anna to later bring up his past relationships as insult.

On Halloween night, 1998, at Cornell University, Tom Bailey, Jr. (Patrick Dempsey), in costume as Bill Clinton, slips into bed with his pre-arranged date, Monica. Drew Latham (Ben Affleck) is a wealthy advertising executive. Just before Christmas, he surprises his girlfriend Missy (Jennifer Morrison) with first class tickets to Fiji.
