Igor Romanovich Lifanov (Russian: И́горь Рома́нович Лифа́нов ; born 25 December 1965) is Russian actor of theater, cinema and TV.
He lived in the city of Mykolayiv, where he graduated from school, then served in the Navy in the Far East.
He entered the Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy, from which he graduated in 1992, diploma work An Ardent Heart, after which he was invited to Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater. In 2003, he left the theater.

It is New Year's Day of 2006, more than a year after the events of Night Watch. Anton Gorodetsky, the protagonist of the first film, finds himself in the middle of an approaching conflict between the Light and Dark Others, who are still bound with an uneasy truce. Geser, the Lord of the Light, realized that the two forces would eventually annihilate each other. He stopped the battle and offered a truce to the forces of Darkness, led by Zavulon. To make sure each side honored its side of the agreement, the Light would have a "Night Watch" to monitor the forces of Darkness at night, and the Darkness would have a "Day Watch" to police the forces of Light during the day. The film begins on the night of February 22, 1917, before the Tsar departs to the war front of Stavka. Russia under Tsar Nicholas II was in the third year of World War I. By 1917, Russia had suffered many losses. Nevertheless, the tsar's authority with the people was high. Petrograd (formerly St. Petersburg) was an exception. Late at night, Nicholas and Alexandra are woken up by their son, Alexei who has a high fever, as well as Olga, the eldest of the five children. The next morning, Nicholas leaves to Stavka, at the war front. Meanwhile in Petrograd, people are starting to revolt. A street is bombed and many are killed. The Russian Revolution has started. Nicholas arrives at Stavka and he is told that his son Alexei, a hemophiliac, will not live to the age of 16. Back in Petrograd, Alexandra is told about the chaos in the city. At the Imperial Train, Nicholas is given documents requesting his abdication. He signs and is no longer Emperor of All the Russias. He had decided to give the throne to his son Alexei, but due to his bad health, he decides to give the throne to his brother Michael, who does not accept it. Russia is left without an emperor.

The film begins after the protagonist, Danila Bagrov (Sergei Bodrov Jr.) returns to his small hometown following the demobilisation from the Russian Army. Yet even before he reaches home, he ends up in a fight with security guards, when he accidentally walks onto a film set. The local police release him, on the condition he finds work, and we learn that his late father, once a classmate of the precinct, became a thief in law and died in prison. His mother, not wishing for him to share his father's fate, insists he travels to St. Petersburg to seek out his successful older brother Viktor, whom his mother is confident will help him make a living.
