Isla Blair (born 29 September 1944) is an British actress. She made her first stage appearance in 1963 as Philia in the London debut of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.

Biography
Isla Blair was born in Bangalore, India, on 29 September 1944. Her father, Ian Baxter Blair-Hill, was a tea planter of British descent. Blair's interest in performing arts first became apparent when, at the age of two, she gave an impromptu singing performance on the boat ride from India to England. She went on to attend the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art to prepare for a career in acting. She is married to fellow actor Julian Glover, known for his role as Walter Donovan in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, with whom she has a son, actor Jamie Glover. Along with Prunella Scales, Blair and Glover were involved with the expansion of the Salisbury Playhouse. She is a Vice President of TACT, the Actors' Children's Trust.Usually with

The story is told in flashback by Livvie (played by Elizabeth Earl), a bright young girl who is in police custody on Christmas Day . As she is questioned, she reveals that since several days previously, she and her equally resourceful mother Geraldine (Dervla Kirwan) and little sister Angeline (Elizabeth's sister Holly Earl) have been living in a department store called "Scottley's" since their camper van blew up. As the story progresses, the family deal with outsmarting staff, in particular Brian (nicknamed Mr. Whiskers) (Peter Capaldi) the friendly but suspicious doorman, icy deputy manageress Ms. Greystone (Helen Schlesinger) and Santa (Ricky Tomlinson) and Elf (Sean Hughes), oversleeping in the tent in which they live, a guest appearance from S Club 7 in an advertising stunt by Mr. Scottley (Brian Blessed), trying to find alternate housing, the Staff Party, and finally, on Christmas morning a burglary organized by Ms. Greystone, Santa and Elf. They are invited to live with Scottley and Geraldine marries Brian.

In the Scottish village of Inverdoune, teams representing the village's two pubs—Benny's Bar and Le Bistro—have played an annual football game for 99 consecutive years. Under the terms of the original bet, the loser of the 100th match must forfeit their bar to the winner. Facing its 100th consecutive loss, Benny's Bar looks set to be bulldozed and replaced with a car park by the odious owner of Le Bistro, "Gorgeous" George Gus (Richard E. Grant). Local boy Wullie Smith (Max Beesley) returns from university, where he stays at the home of Sheila Bailey, re-igniting his dormant feelings for her daughter Rosemary (Laura Fraser). Wullie possesses TFR (Total Football Recall)—an encyclopedic recollection of football tactics and statistics—and would be an ideal manager for the Benny's Bar team, but he is traumatised by the death of his brother during their childhood and refuses. Also unwilling to help the team is a resident former professional football player (Neil Morrissey), known as "Piss-Off" due to his response whenever he is asked to play.

In 1912, 13-year-old Indiana Jones is horseback riding with his Boy Scout troop in Moab, Utah. In the Battle of France in June 1940, RAF pilots evacuate a small airfield in advance of the German Blitzkrieg. The pilots, along with British and French military, leave just as German aircraft arrive and execute a heavy strafing attack. RAF Air Chief Marshal Hugh Dowding (Laurence Olivier), realising that an imminent invasion of Great Britain will require every available aircraft and airman to counter it, stops additional aircraft being deployed to France so that they are available to defend Britain.
