Ivan Gerasimovich Lapikov (Russian: Иван Герасимович Лапиков; 7 July 1922 - 2 May 1993) – was a Soviet and Russian actor.
In 1939, he enrolled in drama school in Kharkov, where he studied for the following two years. After the World War II began, Ivan started to work in the Gorky Drama Theater (Stalingrad). There he worked until he removed to Moscow in 1963.
In Moscow Lapikov joined to the Film Actor's Theater-Studio.
His first role in cinema was a 'Seer-off', in the film by S. Timoshenko The Reserve Player (1954). After The Chairman (1964 film) by Aleksei Saltykov (1964), where the actor had played the brother of the lead character, Lapikov became famous. Later he created a whole gallery of the Russian characters: Kirill in Andrei Rublev, Lyagavy in The Brothers Karamazov, Pankrat Nazarov in The Eternal Call, and many other roles.

Biography
Lapikov was born in the village of Gorny Balykley, near Tsaritsyn (now - Dubovsky District, Volgograd Oblast). He spent his childhood in Stalingrad.In 1939, he enrolled in drama school in Kharkov, where he studied for the following two years. After the World War II began, Ivan started to work in the Gorky Drama Theater (Stalingrad). There he worked until he removed to Moscow in 1963.

In late 17th-century Russia, Czar Peter the Great orders an attack on Turkey, which refuses to pay taxes to the Russian government. En juillet 1942, lors de la seconde bataille de Kharkov les défenses soviétiques sont submergées par la contre-attaque allemande. Accompagnées de réfugiés civils, les troupes reculent vers Stalingrad. Parmi les combattants se trouvent le lieutenant Youri Kierżencew, son radiotéléphoniste Anton Valega et Ivan Sedykh, un éclaireur. Pour quelques jours, ils sont hébergés dans la maison d'un ouvrier d'usine des tracteurs de Stalingrad dont la nièce prénommée Lucia travaille dans un hôpital militaire. En compagnie de la jeune femme, le lieutenant Kierżencew fait une promenade le long de la Volga, ils passent près du kourgane Mamaïev. Lucia voit Kierżencew comme quelqu'un de renfermé, peu causant et pragmatique. Lui même avoue que ses centres d’intérêt se sont réduits aux éléments d'organisation militaire tellement que, même en regardant la Lune, il la considère strictement du point de vue stratégique.

The film consists of two parts. In the first part entitled "Encounters" a successful journalist from Moscow Yuri Aliabiev (Y.Vasiliev) travels to a small city in the Urals because a certain Anikina, woman living in the city, writes complaints about local authorities accusing them of dissipation and bribe-taking. Arriving in the city Aliabiev meets Shura Okaemova, a nice-looking girl who works at a local plant. Attracted by Shura's intelligence and beauty Aliabiev attempts to seduce her but Shura rejects his attempts. Aliabiev leaves for Moscow and then on a business trip for Paris.

After World War II ends, soldier Yegor Trubnikov comes back to his native village to restore the ruined collective farm facilities. Rebuilding the kolkhoz is as hard for him as fighting the war.
