Biography
Diplômé de l'IDHEC, il a réalisé une quinzaine de films documentaires surtout pour Arte, dont en particulier La Ville d’Hugo en 1987, Le Regard ébloui en 1988, Canova mutilé en 1992, en 2005 Don Quichotte ou les mésaventures d’un homme en colère, avec Patrick Chesnais et Jean Benguigui, et La Victoire de Cézanne en 2006. Il a réalisé trois longs métrages: Méfie-toi de l'eau qui dort avec Maruschka Detmers et Robin Renucci (prix de la meilleure première œuvre et prix de la Jeunesse au Festival de Venise), La Fille de son père avec Natacha Régnier et François Berléand, et Dinle Neyden en 2008.Il est le neveu de l'acteur Hubert Deschamps

Fifteen-year-old Sarah Williams (Connelly) rehearses a play in the park and becomes distracted by a line she is unable to remember while being watched by a barn owl. Realizing she is late to babysit her infant half-brother Toby, she rushes home and is confronted by her stepmother (Shelley Thompson) before she and her father (Christopher Malcolm) leave for dinner. Sarah realizes that her brother is in possession of her treasured teddy bear Lancelot. Frustrated by this and his constant crying, Sarah inadvertently wishes Toby away by the Goblin King Jareth (Bowie). He refuses to return the baby, but gives Sarah 13 hours to solve his Labyrinth to find him before Toby is turned into a goblin. Sarah meets the dwarvish Hoggle (Brian Henson), who aids her in entering the Labyrinth, but a talking worm (Timothy Bateson) inadvertently sends her the wrong way.

The story opens in a Western saloon, where a young musician with a banjo begins to tell a tale of Lucky Luke and his sworn enemies the Dalton brothers: Joe, William, Jack and Averell. Luke has, once again, as he has done many times before, thrown the four outlaws into jail.
