James Monroe Iglehart (born September 4, 1974) is an American stage actor and singer. In 2014, he won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for playing the Genie in Aladdin.

Biography

He was raised in Hayward, California with his brother. His father is a business man, and his mother is a former high school choir teacher. He met his future wife Dawn in a high school show choir.
