Janardhanan is a Malayalam film actor. In 1969, he acted in Veettu Mrugam directed by P. Venu. He is known for his style of handling humor and his iconic voice. He started his career playing brusque villains in the 1970s but later went on to establish himself as a highly sought-after comedian. The turning point of his career was his role in the 1988 film Oru CBI Diary Kurippu, which brought out his comic skills. However, he was typecast as a comedian only after the 1993 film Meleparambil Aanveedu. Apart from stereotyped Hindu/Muslim/Christian characters, he has the distinction of portraying a Sikh and a Jewish character.
He is married to Vijayalaksmi and they have two daughters: Ramaranjini and Laxmi.

Biography
Janardhanan was born in the village of Ullala near Vaikom in 1946 to Kollarakkattu Veettil K. Gopala Pillai and Gouri Amma. He has an elder brother, Major K.G.A. Nair and a younger sister. He had his primary education from NSS High School, Vechoor and preuniversity degree from NSS Hindu College, Changanacherry and joined for degree in Thiruvananthapuram University college but later dropped out. He joined Air force and discontinued after first year of training and returned to home and started business. He pursued degree in commerce from Vellu Thampi Memorial N S S College, Neyyattinkara. He debuted in a documentary Prathisanthi. He turned down the offer of bank officer at Paravoor central bank and became production executive of Chembarathi. He became an editor at Malayalanadu weekly and then he went to Madras to do business. While working there he got an opportunity to act in Adyathe Kadha in 1972.He is married to Vijayalaksmi and they have two daughters: Ramaranjini and Laxmi.

Afsal (Dulquer Salmaan) is a lazy fellow who sleeps till 11AM. His mother (Geetha) is so worried about him. Mannar Mathai (Innocent) is now running a travel agency Urvashi Tours & Travels,his partners in this agency are his old mates Gopalakrishnan (Mukesh) and Balakrishnan (Saikumar). Their drama group which was started in 1989, is celebrating its 25th anniversary and Manaar Mathai wants to perform a drama on this occasion.
