Jane Val, de son vrai nom Jeanne Valentin, est une comédienne française née à Paris le 4 février 1930 et morte dans la même ville le 21 février 2006.

Elle a été formée au Conservatoire de Paris dans la classe de Béatrix Dussane.

Spécialisée dans le doublage, elle a prêté sa voix à de nombreux films, séries et dessins animés. Elle prête, entre autres, sa voix au personnage de Nellie Oleson dans La Petite Maison dans la prairie et de Vénusia dans Goldorak. Elle fut l'épouse de Louis Arbessier.

In Rivet Town, Herb Copperbottom, a dishwasher at Gunk's Greasy Spoon diner, races through the streets, elated that he is going to be a father. He and his wife, Lydia, after 12 hours of "labor", construct the baby. He is named Rodney, and he becomes a young inventor who dreams of making the world a better place. Rodney idolizes Bigweld, a master inventor and owner of Bigweld Industries. During Rodney's adolescence, he invents a gadget, "Wonderbot", intended to help his father clean the dishes at the restaurant. When Herb's supervisor unexpectedly confronts them, Wonderbot breaks dishes, causing Herb to be put in debt and Rodney to be dismissed. Rodney takes his invention to Robot City to see Bigweld and get a job as an inventor at Bigweld Industries, so that he can help his father pay back his supervisor. His father encourages him and confides that he has always regretted not pursuing his dream of becoming a musician. Rodney arrives in Robot City and meets Fender, a ramshackle robot who takes souvenir photos and sells maps to the stars' homes. After a spectacular but harrowing ride on the crosstown express, Rodney arrives at the gate of Bigweld Industries.

In a forest lives a community of birds who live peacefully, including a pair of sparrows residing happily in a nest awaiting the hatching of their two eggs. A storm rolls in and a white dove warns the couple about Fagin, a sinister black vulture who kills every bird in his path. Fagin comes, and the male sparrow bravely attempts to protect his family by distracting the vulture and is pursued but is killed. The female shares her mate's fate, and the struggle caused the two eggs to fall out the nest with only one surviving and landing near a hole in the tree which is owned by Walter, an owl. Betty, a bluebird, comes and decides to adopt the egg. Days and hours later, the egg hatches and Betty names him Oliver. While Betty is away, Walter tells Oliver a story about Betty saving a dove named Olivia from a cat and adopting her. Betty introduces Olivia to Oliver, both of them quickly becoming friends. Betty goes away again, and Oliver and Olivia wander off and befriend two orphaned mice named Fredrick and Ingolf. They play but Ingolf, who dreams of flying like a bird, falls into a stream and is saved by the group. The Dove appears and warns them about Fagin, prompting them to run and hide. Oliver, who spots Fagin, becomes too scared to move, but Olivia saves him and hide in a can. Fagin corners the young bird and nearly kills them, but is chased away by a male orthonologist human and his dog. Betty finds them and scolds them for wandering off and while Betty and Olivia leave, Oliver learns to fly with the help of Olivia.

In the land of Prydain, Taran is an "assistant pig-keeper" on the small farm of Caer Dallben, home of Dallben the Enchanter. After a young red fox is orphaned, Big Mama the owl, Boomer the woodpecker, and Dinky the finch arrange for him to be adopted by a kindly farmer named Widow Tweed. Tweed names him Tod, since he reminds her of a toddler. Meanwhile, her neighbor, a hunter named Amos Slade, brings home a young hound puppy named Copper and introduces him to his hunting dog Chief. Tod and Copper become playmates and vow to remain "friends forever". Slade becomes frustrated with Copper for frequently wandering off to play and puts him on a leash. While playing with Copper at his home, Tod awakens Chief. Slade and Chief chase him until they are confronted by Tweed. After a violent argument, Slade threatens to kill Tod if he trespasses on his farm again. Hunting season comes and Slade takes his dogs into the wilderness for the interim. Meanwhile, Big Mama, Dinky and Boomer attempt to explain to Tod that his friendship with Copper can no longer continue, as they are natural enemies, but Tod naively refuses to believe them, hoping that he and Copper will remain friends forever.
