Jean-Claude Michel, né le 5 janvier 1925 à Paris et mort dans cette même ville le 10 décembre 1999, est un acteur français.

Très actif dans le doublage, il était la voix française régulière de Sean Connery et Clint Eastwood ainsi que l'une des voix récurrentes de Charlton Heston, Rock Hudson et Leslie Nielsen.

Biography

Marié à la comédienne Paule Emanuele, Jean-Claude Michel est l'un des comédiens de doublage les plus importants de la seconde moitié du XX siècle, de par le nombre de films et la notoriété des acteurs doublés. Excellent dans les compositions dramatiques comme comiques, déployant une maîtrise parfaite de la technique et de la caractérisation du doublage, il a prêté notamment sa voix à Sean Connery dans presque tous ses plus grands films hors James Bond et de Clint Eastwood dans la plupart de ses films dont la saga des Inspecteur Harry, mais aussi à Robert Mitchum, Tony Curtis, Charlton Heston (Ben Hur), Leslie Nielsen, Rock Hudson, etc.

In 994, Castle Wyvern of Scotland is attacked by Vikings, led by the ruthless Hakon. The resident warriors struggle to repel the attack until the sun set, and at night, the seemingly lifeless stone gargoyle statues awaken, revealing themselves to be real living gargoyles. Goliath and his powerful gargoyle clan subsequently defend the castle and successfully forced the Vikings to retreat. The human captain of the guard sees them as heroes, but their heroism appears to do nothing to earn appreciation from Princess Katherine, the court wizard Magus, or the other human residents, most of whom still see their gargoyle protectors as monsters and treat them with prejudice. Goliath's lover and the Captain argued that the gargoyles deserve more praise and dignity, especially since their castle was built on top of the land that originally belonged to the gargoyles, but Goliath adamantly insists that they must endure being misunderstood and protect the castle and all of its residents. The Captain urged Goliath to take his clan away from the castle the following night, but Goliath remains determined to protect the castle.

According to Adams' Lapine language, culture and mythology, the world was created by the god Frith, who represents the Sun. All animals lived harmoniously, but the rabbits eventually multiplied, and their appetite led to a food shortage. At the prayers of the desperate animals, Frith warned the rabbit prince El-ahrairah to control his people, but was scoffed at. In retaliation, Frith gave special gifts to every animal, but some animals he made predators to prey upon the rabbits. Satisfied that El-ahrairah (Now also known as "Prince with a Thousand Enemies") had learned his lesson, Frith also gave the rabbits speed and cunning; while many would seek to kill them, the rabbits could survive by their wits and quickness.

The film starts out in live action, introducing the protagonist Michael Corleone, a 24-year-old virgin playing pinball in New York City. The scene then transitions into animation. New York has a diseased, rotten, tough, and violent atmosphere. Michael's Italian father, Angelo "Angie" Corleone, is a struggling mafioso who frequently cheats on Michael's Jewish mother, Ida. The couple constantly bicker and try to kill each other. Michael ambles through a catalog of freaks, greasers, and dopers. Unemployed, he dabbles with cartoons, artistically feeding off the grubbiness of his environment. He regularly hangs out at a local bar where he gets free drinks from the female black bartender, Carole, in exchange for sketches of the somewhat annoying Shorty, Carole's violent, legless bouncer devotee. One of the regular customers at the bar named Snowflake, a nymphomaniac transvestite, gets beaten up by a tough drunk who has only just realized that Snowflake is a man in drag and not a beautiful woman. Shorty throws the drunk out and the bar's white manager abusively confronts Carole over this. Fed up with her manager, Carole quits.

Edmond Dantès parvient jusqu'à l'île de Monte-Cristo et, devenu immensément riche, fait son apparition dans la grande bourgeoisie parisienne sous le nom de comte de Monte-Cristo. Rien ne l'arrête, désormais, pour assouvir sa froide et implacable vengeance.
