Jishnu Raghavan Alingkil, known mononymously as Jishnu, is an Indian film actor who appears in Malayalam films. Having appeared as a child artist in the movie Kilipatt in the year 1987, Jishnu made his film debut in a leading role in the blockbuster movie Nammal in 2002. His performance in the film earned him Mathrubhumi Award and Kerala Film Critics Award for the Best Male Debut. He followed it with leading roles in Choonda, Freedom, Parayam and supporting part in Nerariyan CBI, Pauran and Chakkara Muthu.

Following through with some unnoticed movies he took a break from the film Industry to work for developing information technology in the rural areas. Then he returned to filmdom through the superhhit film Ordinary following which he did Nidra, Ustad Hotel, Banking Hours 10 to 4, Annum Innum Ennum and Rebbecca Uthup Kizhakemala.

He is the son of actor Raghavan, who also directed Jishnu's debut film Kilipatt which was selected for the Indian Panorama. He is also a mechanical engineer graduated from NIT Calicut.

Biography

Jishnu was born in Kannur to Malayalam film actor Raghavan and Sobha. He did most of his schooling in Madras (now Chennai). He also studied in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Trivandrum. Jishnu had achieved best student award in his school days and joined NIT Calicut to do his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

He is married to Dhanya Rajan who is an Architect by profession. She also graduated from NIT Calicut and studied a year junior to Jishnu.

He is a cancer survivor. As per a recent Twitter update, he posted that he just got recovered from cancer. "By God's grace and your prayers, the surgery I had to go through was successful. I am back home now and recovering. The cancerous tumor was completely removed. For complete recovery it will take another six months, I guess. Thanks a lot for your prayers and support." Not many were aware of this until he himself posted these statements on February 7, 2014.

Raju (Siddharth Bharathan) is the younger son from a wealthy family. Raju is a normal young teenager working in Dream world concentrating on his job. Both get incredibly frustrated at each other, blaming each other for the cost. Somehow they accidentally get each other's phones. Sudha's friend is in a critical condition when she rings Sudha it goes to Raju because he has her phone. Raju immediately rushes to help saving Sudha's friend. Sudha then likes Raju and invites him to a party. And they become great friends until Raju falls in love with Sudha he attempts to tell her but fails. When he was about to tell her she introduced her boyfriend to him. He becomes shattered but he doesn't know how to tell his family because they were very happy before. So he lies to them telling Sudha agreed, they arrange the wedding and Raju is in big trouble.
