Joan Ann Hackett (March 1, 1934 – October 8, 1983) was an American actress of film, stage and television. For the 1981 film Only When I Laugh, she won a Golden Globe Award and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She also received a Best Foreign Actress BAFTA Award nomination for the 1966 film The Group.

Biography

From 1966 to 1973 she was married to actor Richard Mulligan, who also appeared in The Group.

It's the summer of 1938 in Bridgeport, Connecticut and Jewish 13-year-old, Daniel Cooper (now portrayed by Ronnie Scribner) finds himself tangling with the bigoted playground bully, Freddy Landauer (David Baron).
