Joanna Louise Page (born 23 March 1978) is a Welsh actress, best known for her role as Stacey Shipman in the BAFTA-winning television series Gavin & Stacey.

Biography

Page is married to English actor James Thornton. The couple live in Oxfordshire. They both appeared in the 1999 TV serial David Copperfield (Page as Dora Spenlow and Thornton as Ham Peggotty). They were introduced a year later by Page's friend Maxine Peake, who was appearing alongside Thornton in the Royal National Theatre's stage adaptation of The Cherry Orchard.

At the age of 28, Page was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, for which she takes daily medication. She is an ambassador for veterinary charity PDSA, and raises funds for Breast Cancer Care after her mother was diagnosed with and cured of the disease.

On 13 September 2012, Page announced via her Twitter page that she and Thornton were expecting their first child and on 15 February 2013, she gave birth to a daughter named Eva. On 10 October 2014, Thornton announced that Page was expecting a second child.

While on a journey through the remote regions of the Amazon rainforest, a long extinct animal shot by Professor George Challenger's (Bob Hoskins) team turns out to be a prehistoric pterosaur. During a lecture at the Natural History Museum of London, he argues that it is genuine and that he shot it several months ago. Midsummer night, 1894, in northern Sweden. The complex structures of class bind a man and a woman. Angleterre, XIX siècle. David Copperfield est venu au monde après la mort de son père. Sa mère décide de se remarier à Murdstone, un homme vil et cruel. Mais quand ceux-ci quittent Londres, il décide de partir pour Douvres, seul endroit où il lui reste un membre de sa famille, sa tante Betsey Trotwood. Murdstone est averti de la fuite du jeune Copperfield et tente de le récupérer auprès de Mrs. Trotwood mais elle décidera de le garder et de l'élever. Reprenant ses études, il va alors loger chez Mr. Wickfield qui a une fille, Agnès, amoureuse de David.
