At the 10th Berlin International Film Festival, she won the Silver Bear for Best Actress for her role in the film The Fair. From 1964-68 she was the partner of actor Vittorio Gassman with whom she had a son, Alessandro, an actor.

Juliette Mayniel est la fille d'un cafetier. Révélée en 1959 par Les Cousins de Claude Chabrol, elle remporte l'Ours d'argent de la meilleure actrice à la Berlinale 1960 pour son rôle dans le film Je ne voulais pas être un nazi (Kirmes) de Wolfgang Staudte.Elle a eu une relation sentimentale avec l'acteur italien Vittorio Gassman, à qui elle a donné en 1965 un fils, Alessandro Gassman.

In Naples the Commissioner Rizzo, said "Flatfoot", defeats a gang of drug traffickers. The criminals, from Marseille, were peddling drugs using frozen fish, but Flatfoot has managed to arrest them, with the help of a boss of the Neapolitan underworld, called Manomozza. After the arrest however Flatfoot discovers that Manomozza did the double game and now intends to forge an alliance with the traffickers "Marseilles". Flatfoot, thanks to the tip from a friend, finds the place and time of the meeting between drug dealers, and by punches he sends everyone in the cell.

During World War I, a seemingly respectable middle-aged man Henri Landru has devised an ingenious means of obtaining money to supplement his dwindling income. Adopting various assumed names, he lures middle-class women to his villa at Gambais just outside Paris, where he kills them and burns their bodies. He then helps himself to his victims’ bank accounts so that he can keep his wife, his mistress and his four children in the manner to which they have grown accustomed. Une jeune institutrice est nommée dans un petit village normand. Jusque-là, un commerce d'alcool produit par des alambics illégaux était florissant, mais la jeune femme, constatant que même ses élèves étaient atteint par la consommation d'alcool, décide de lutter contre ce trafic. Tout le monde autour d'elle est complice soit par intérêt, soit par ignorance, même la directrice de l'école ne voit pas d'inconvénient à ce que les boissons qu'apportent les élèves à l'école soit alcoolisées. La production de goutte de la région est achetée par un trafiquant sans scrupules, l'américain, qui organise des transports de nuit en camion vers Paris.
