Karen Mok Man-Wai (莫文蔚) est une actrice et chanteuse née à Hong Kong le 2 juin 1970. Elle est considérée comme une « fille de Sing ».

Biography

Bien que connue sous le nom de Karen Mok dans les films chinois, les films hollywoodiens conservent son nom de naissance à savoir Karen Joy Morris.

Née à Hong Kong en 1970, Karen a des origines à la fois chinoises, galloises (de par son grandpère paternel), iraniennes et allemandes. Elle est la sœur du producteur-scénariste Trevor Morris et la descendante de Alfred Morris, le premier principal de King's College, Hong Kong.

Après des études au United World College de Trieste en Italie, elle étudia durant deux années la littérature italienne à l'université de Londres.

Karen Mok parle anglais, cantonais, mandarin, italien et français. Elle ne s'enregistre toutefois qu'en cantonais et en mandarin. Aussi adepte de rap, Karen Mok est surnommée en Iran "Mok Kahba" ou « Beauté transcendante ».

Tiger Chen [(Tiger Chen Linhu)] is the sole student of his elderly master's Ling Kong Tai Chi style. While Tiger excels in the physical aspects of his training, Master Yang struggles to instill in Tiger the philosophical aspects, and fears for his character. Suspected of hosting an illegal fighting operation, Sun-Jing turns one of Donaka's fighters into a mole, but he is discovered and personally killed by Donaka. Despite the setbacks, Sun-Jing wants to continue investigating, but without any evidence Superintendent Wong [(Simon Yam)] has the case closed. Believing the evidence would eventually come through, Sun-Jing secretly continues investigating Donaka and things change with Tiger's involvement.

A young man, and several years later, a woman, undergo a Thai ritual of lying in a coffin, which is supposed to ensure long life and banish bad luck. The story is about a pro-communist leftist Zhou Heung-Kong (Anthony Wong) who grew up in the pre-1997 British colony of Hong Kong starting the from 1950s. Kwong (Howard Sit) is a young boy who lives with his father (Felix Wong) and stepmother (Karen Mok).
