Ramón est un trentenaire qui travaille dans une agence de publicité. Marié à Inma, il a un fils et mène une vie confortable jusqu'au jour où il constate qu'il a des difficultés à saisir des objets avec sa main droite. La maladie avance par poussées et remis de sa première crise, il débute un lourd traitement. Au même moment, le père de sa femme, Manolo, un ancien champion cycliste bourru et irascible qui rejette la vie moderne doit quitter sa maison qui s'effondre et est hébergé chez le couple. Jimmy el Cachondo and his henchmen have stolen a top secret document from the TIA headquarters that can ridicule them in front of all other spy agencies. Uxbal lives in a shabby apartment in Barcelona with his two young children, Ana and Mateo. He is separated from their mother Marambra, a woman suffering from alcoholism and bipolar disorder. The scientist convinces Héctor to hide from the bandaged man in a large mechanical device. However, when he leaves the machine, he discovers that he has traveled approximately an hour back in time.
