Katherine Cannon (born September 6, 1950) is an American actress. Her early film roles included Fools' Parade (1971), Private Duty Nurses (1971) and Women in Chains (1972), but she first attracted notice in High Noon, Part II: The Return of Will Kane (1980) playing Amy Kane, the part originated by Grace Kelly in High Noon. She later played the school teacher, Mae Woodward, in the TV series, Father Murphy, and appeared in the sci-fi thriller The Hidden in 1987. She is currently best known for playing Felice Martin, the cheating and domineering mother of Donna Martin (Tori Spelling), on the long-running teen series, Beverly Hills, 90210.

Biography

In 1974, Cannon married commercial director Richard Chambers. The couple had one son, Colin Thomas Chambers, before divorcing in 1980. She remarried, to actor Dean Butler in 2001.

Jack DeVries (Chris Mulkey), a quiet citizen with no criminal past, robs a Los Angeles Wells Fargo bank, kills all of the security guards inside, and leads the Los Angeles Police Department on a high-speed chase. The chase ends when DeVries encounters a police blockade overseen by detective Thomas Beck (Michael Nouri). DeVries is shot several times, smashes through the blockade and crashes the Ferrari he is driving. DeVries is taken to a hospital, where a doctor informs Beck and his partner, Det. Cliff Willis (Ed O'Ross) that DeVries is not expected to survive the night.

The film follows the rise and fall of convicted Watergate co-conspirator G. Gordon Liddy. Robert Conrad is cast as the adult Liddy, who is sentenced to 20 years in prison. Will Kane returns to the town of Hadleyville, a year after the events of High Noon, and finds that the town is now in the hands of a corrupt marshal and his two aides. J.D. Ward, the man that replaced Kane as marshal, is a tyrant who shoots up the horses Will has just purchased. Ward is after Ben Irons and his men in order to get the bounty on them, even though Ward knows they are innocent. Ben gets away. Ward pursues him, and Kane decides to help Ben. Ben dies from a gunshot wound. Ward is going to arrest Kane for helping Ben, but the town rallies together and issues a warrant for Ward's arrest. Kane then again puts on the tin star (that he threw on the ground at the end of the 1952 original movie) and shoots Ward to death.
